First Mission Arc: Chapter 1

Urokodaki residence

At the Urokodaki residence stood Mizuto and Tanjiro. Urokodaki begins to speak to his successors while they listen to him.

"Tanjiro and Mizuto... Now that you're starting out with the Demon Slayer Corps, I'd like to explain a few things to you." He stares at them seriously ready to spill his next words.

"Right!" Both of the boys says it in sync ready to hear what Urokodaki say next.

"That Demon Slayer Corps outfit you're wearing right now, it's made out of a special kind of fiber." Urokodaki says to the two boys looking at them carefully as they look back ready to hear more.

"The fabric is quite breathable, yet it repels moisture and won't burn easily." Urokodaki spills his words to the two boys as Mizuto starts to rub his fingers on the coat he's wearing.

"A low-level demons talons or fangs couldn't even manage to tear that uniform" Tanjiro stares at Urokodaki taking his words seriously as Mizuto does the same.

Tanjiro grabs his uniform and his eye brows go up and speaks to them, "It's that strong?" He says surprised.

"Also," Urokodaki adds in," That Nichirin Sword of yours, the color varies from owner to owner, and each hue has unique properties." Urokodaki speaks still sitting in his original spot not moving once

"But since not many people end up with black blades, little is known about them" Urokodaki says remember the time Tanjiro and Mizuto both lifted their Nichirin Swords for the first time

"So little, in fact, that- -" Urokodaki was cut off by Tanjiro

"What, Mr. Urokodaki?" he says curious to what Urokodaki just said not to long ago

"So little is known about them, black blades are said to be wielded by swordsmen who'll never go far" Urokodaki says that line and Mizuto feels a little down after he hears that

"Aw man, are you serious Mr. Urokodaki?" Mizuto says as his chest feels a little tight now

"Don't worry Mizuto" Tanjiro says putting his hand on Mizuto's shoulder and gives him a smile

"I don't know how we'll do in the Demon Slayer Corps, but I'm going to turn Nezuko back into a human no matter what." Tanjiro says looking at Mizuto and Urokodaki with a smile on his face

"Yeah your right" Urokodaki says as Nezuko looks at them hiding under a blanket in a room so Tanjiro and Mizuto flash her a smile

"I have faith that you're going to make that happen" Urokodaki says giving the boy confidence

"Right" Tanjiro says to Urokodaki with a smile still planted on his face

"One more thing. Take this." Urokodaki shifts his body towards a box and puts it in front of Tanjiro making Mizuto and Tanjiro confused for a second

"It's a box for you to carry your sister in during the day, Built out of an extremely light wood called ,Cloud Mist Pine," Urokodaki tells Tanjiro

"I coated it with rock lacquer to reinforce its exterior, and to make it even more durable." Urokodaki says to Tanjiro making him feel glad.

"Thank you very much!" He says still smiling at Urokodaki

Tanjiro stands up and picks the box up, "it's so light! It's really light, Mr. Urokodaki!" He says with a smile still planted on his face as he holds the box in his hands
