Prologue
Sometimes people enter your life and make no impact; they come and go with the seasons almost as if they were never even there. Other times, on seemingly rare occasions, someone will come around and leave a handprint on your heart. It physically pains me to this very day to look back and see how different I am because of you; you changed me for the better. Our journey was fleeting, and looking back on it I guess I never really appreciated you the way I should have. But you've altered my life and this treacherous journey that I should have been on from the start. Because of you, I know what self-worth feels like, and I know what it's like to love and be loved. I guess all I can do now is sit here and hope that I shaped your life in the same way that you shaped mine.
