"Aurielle is that you?" Audrey yelled from the kitchen
"Yeah its me!" She yelled back as she made her way to the kitchen
"Good it looks like its just us for dinner. I can't get ahold of your dad and I have to go into work." Audrey said
"Mom didn't you have a chemo appointment today?" Aurielle said
"Yeah. But I need to work a shift, I don't know what's going on with your dad lately. He's totally been unavailable to me. Do you know anything about the money in the bank missing, and stuff." Audrey said
"No, but you did tell me that in college dad had a gambling problem could he be gambling again?" Aurielle said
Audrey sighed as she sat back in her chair, "I never thought about that until now. He's acting just like he did in college. Drinking, disappearing and money missing." Audrey said
Aurielle shook her head "Dad is such a asshole, sitting here a year ago talking about being here for you and supporting you. And he isn't even doing it such bullshit mom." Aurielle said
"Auri we don't know if we are right 100 percent." Audrey said with a smile.
Aurielle cleaned up dinner dishes while her mom went on to work. Later that night Andrew her dad came staggering and stumbling into the house around 2AM. He found Audrey asleep in Aurielle's room.
