Alec's POV

"Okay guys," Isaac's brother began as he pulled up in front of a decent sized house which was starting to fill up with people, "No drugs, no fights, be responsible and if I so much as hear a peep of you guys being irresponsible, I will tell our parents, Isaac."

"Yeah, yeah, protective brother talks. We'll be fine. See you Matthew," Isaac dismissed, opening his door along with me.

"Shut up, I'm serious," Matthew groaned at his brother through the open window once Isaac shut his passenger door, my door already closed.

"Okay, we'll be safe, happy?" Isaac replied, rolling his eyes at his brother.

Meanwhile, I was watching the altercation like a lost puppy. Joys of being an only child.

"Very happy. Bye Isaac. Bye Alec," He grinned, restarting his engine to take off.

"Bye," We replied in unison before he took off with a wave.

The moment his brother was out of sight, Isaac turned to me, a full blown grin crossing his face in excitement.

"I can't believe you're here, the last time you came to a party was like-"

"When I was fifteen," I finished for him, knowing he was trying to remember.

"Yeah," Isaac cringed, "And I got rejected... brutally."

"Sorry buddy, I'm just not gay," I laughed, slinging an arm around Isaac to relax him.

"Well, I know that now," He groaned out, "But it doesn't make it any less embarrassing when the guy you like rejects you in the middle of truth or dare. Especially in front of all your friends."

"Who even asks someone out through truth or dare!" I laughed, completely throwing any memory of Elijah being here to the wind, "at least we have a killer friendship out of it."

"I was fifteen and nervous, shut up. But you're right, we do have a great friendship now," Isaac reminisced, his eyes glazing over slightly.

"We should probably head in," I muttered after a moment, realising we must look like idiots standing around on the grass completely sober.

"Shit, yeah, come on!" Isaac cheered, dragging me to the open door and into the growing crowd.

No matter where you looked, people were grinding on each other, dancing with their hands in the air holding a drinks cup. It was exactly like you'd imagine a party to be. It was chaos. I would certainly need a drink to make this crowd more bearable. Thankfully, Isaac was on the same wavelength, dragging me towards the kitchen to sort out drinks.

"What do you want?" Isaac yelled over the music, glancing around at all the alcohol bottles littered on the counter.

Shrugging my shoulders in reply, I watched Isaac pour two Vodkas and lemonade before passing me one of the cups and nodding in accomplishment. I took a sip, grimacing slightly but surprised it wasn't as bad as I thought. I took a sip again and became satisfied with my first drink of the night.

After that, Isaac and I floated around the rooms, checking out who was there to see if we could find anyone we knew. As we entered the living room, I heard someone call my name excitedly.

"Alec!"

Turning, I saw Nova hurrying over to me. Smiling her way, I opened my arms for a hug and enveloped her up in a hug, lifting her off the floor, earning a squeal from her.

"I missed you!" She giggled into my ear; arms wrapped around my neck.

"I missed you too, Nova," I replied, putting her back on the ground and pulling back.
