Said Midnight as she announced the end of the cavalry battle, while pointing at the screen

- 1 Team Izuku : 10+ million points

- 2 Team Shoto: 7520 Points

- 3 Team Bakugo: 6969 Points

- 4 Team Hitoshi: 4200 Points

In the end the ones that qualified were: Izuku Midoriya, Mina Ashido, Itsuka Kendo, Ochaco Uraraka, Shoto Todoroki, Momo Yaoyorozu, Tenya Ida, Denki Kaminari, Katsuki Bakugo, Fumikage Tokoyami, Eijiro Kirishima, Hanta Sero, Hitoshi Shinso, Mashirao Ojiro, Nirengeki Shoda and Yuga Aoyama

However both Mashirao Ojiro and Nirengeki Shoda decided to forfeit from the next competition and were replaced by Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Ibara Shiozaki

While on his way back to waiting area as the competition was stopped due to a break, Izuku wasn't surprised to see Shoto waiting for him in the tunnel

"hmm, I had a feeling I would see you here, what is it that you want Shoto Todoroki ?"

Shoto looked at Izuku and said "you made me use my fire quirk"

Remembering the fact that he had to use his flame quirk to defend against Izuku's cannon and save his team from losing the completion, Shoto was enraged

"And what's so bad about that? It's high time you learn how to use that damn flame of yours" said Izuku in retaliation, he knew why, but he wanted for Shoto to tell him himself

"I can't, I don't want to use his quirk, you know him right? My father" said Shoto

Izuku nodded and said "the Number two hero Endeavor, I'm aware of that"

"that's all what people know of him, my father has fans and people that adore him as a hero, but he isn't such a nice person, in fact he is the opposite ..."

Shoto went on to tell Izuku about his father and how he made his mother's life miserable, from the quirk marriage to military like training that he had to endure because of his father's obsession with the Number one, All might, he told him about his mother going insane and about his scare

Shoto didn't know why but it felt good telling someone else about himself, he wasn't that close to Izuku, but he always felt safe speaking to him, as if he was a teacher that shows him what right and wrong

"And that's why I want to be Number one Hero using only mother's side of my quirk, I want him to know that I'm better than him"

Leaning on the wall's back Izuku looked at Shoto and said "Foolish..."

Shoto opened his eyes and said "you don't understand, you never had to face something like this"
