You said you'd be here, Bruce...

I watched as he left the room and closed the door behind him.

"Lucky for me, Batsy happens to be a highly obedient man"

The Joker had asked Bruce to leave the room, or else he wouldn't say anything at all. Which leaves me alone with him.

.... well, not really.

There is a window that mirrors the inside of the room on one side but is translucent on the other. So, Bruce and Commissioner Gordon can still see what's going on from outside.

"So? Sit down" he offered with a bit of sarcasm. I slid into the metal chair in front of him, the chilly table separating us. He had his cruddy hands clasped on top of it, wearing the shackles he was forced to wear.

On his face, he developed an evil grin, "Still carrying out my commands, huh? Just like before"

I clenched my fist and managed to speak despite feeling like someone was holding my throat, "I sat because I wanted to. If you don't tell me anything worth my time, I'm out"

"Ahh, I remember now.... You were always so stiff. You never laughed at any of my jokes. Do you even know how to laugh?"

"Joker" I sharply warned, my poker face fixed on him.

"Do you have any questions that you'd want to ask me? I'm sure you do. We should take our time and catch up since it's been so long"

Is he serious right now? He's the one who asked for me. I'm beginning to think that coming here was a complete waste of time and it was all a bluff, but this is him we're talking about.

"You're the one who asked to see me. You're the one who's supposed to have something to say to me"

"So no questions at all? I'm disappointed. It's been at least a year-"

"Fine. Answer this one," I was so close to standing and leaving, but I'll give him what he wants, "Did you ever talk to Hush before the opera show? And I'm not talking about Thomas Elliot. He already suffered the consequences"

And even with his redemption, he was killed by his copycat.

"That is a conversation for Batman and I"

I stared back at him in silence before speaking, "Okay then, goodbye." Then, I stood up to approach the door.

As a matter of fact, I actually did have quite a few questions for him. In terms of the past. In regards to what he did to Val. But I couldn't bring it up.

"Okay! Okay! You killjoy..... I plan to get rid of you"

I stopped on my tracks.

"That's all I wanted to say. Oh, and Lina. You both must die. That's your fate. That's your retribution as my former agents. You three weren't bad, but you weren't good either"

Tch. "You both must die. That's your fate. That's your retribution as my former agents," he says. Those words doesn't even sound like something he'd say.

With a sneer on my face, I turned around, "You can keep dreaming. Lina and I are in great shape. You want us to die? Well we're going to stay living simply to infuriate you"

He heavily sighed and with a flat, monotone voice, he said, "Poor Val, he's all alone in the afterlife. And here I thought you three were ride or die. But in the end, you and Lina left him alone. Tell me, you both secretly hated him didn't you? I can't blame you. He was a good-for-nothing. He couldn't take lead. Couldn't admit his feelings to the girl he liked. He probably thought you and Lina were better off without him" He began whispering, "Perhaps that's the real reason he died. He just couldn't take it anymore"
