"Hey- Rowan- Stay awake!" his voice was in another room. Maybe even down the hallway.

But I loved that voice.

I loved it with my whole being.

I wanted him to keep calling for me.

I wanted to hear his voice forever.

"Finn..." I mumbled.

"Yes, I'm right here," he said, his voice strained but closer.

Then I felt the pain in my shoulder and especially on the side of my head.

"It hurts," I whimpered, still in a dream.

"I know, I'm so sorry, Rowan, I'm so so sorry," Finn said in anguish.

I hated the sound of pain in his voice. This stabbing burning physical pain was nothing next to that.

"Finn," I said again and wanted to tell him everything was okay. Anything to make him not hurt anymore.

"Shh," he soothed me.

Another searing throb from my temple. I winced.

"I'm sorry, I have to stop the bleeding," Finn said, his voice still coated in pain.

I could feel it then, a rag pressed to my hairline on the right side of my face. It felt very wet.

My stomach turned.

"Is she okay?!" I heard another voice enter the room sounding out of breath. Cedric.

"No! Where is the god damn doctor?" Finn yelled back at him.

"I'll go get him," Cedric said and I heard him run away.

I was feeling more conscious by the second and with it the pain grew greatly.

Trying to open my eyes was a mistake. Blood was apparently in my right eye and it burned.

Finn repositioned the rag and pressed it harder on my head, I pulled back the pain horrible.

He put his other hand on the side of my face to keep me in place.

It felt so nice.

"I know it hurts, I'm so sorry," Finn said again.

"No, it doesn't hurt," I lied so badly he actually laughed a single laugh.

"Typical," he mumbled.

I smiled. Even with my eyes closed, I could see him smirking back.

I was laid awkwardly on my side on a bed I could tell. I tried to shift slightly and my back burned in pain.

"Arg!" I cried out even though I tried not to.

"What?" he asked, panicking again.

"My- shoulder-" I said, trying to be calm. I felt Finn lean across me to look at my back and he inhaled sharply.

"What is it?" I wanted to know the damage.

"N-Nothing, you're fine, here lean this way," Finn said and gently tried to roll me more onto my stomach.

I cried out again.

"Prince Finnease!" An older male voice said huffing into the room.

"Jesus, finally," Finn swore.

"What happened?" The man who I assumed was the doctor asked, coming closer.

"Apparently no one felt the need to tell me the girl I was dating was a psycho who assaulted people!" he yelled looking behind his shoulder.
