Chapter Seventeen: However long it takes

The next morning you wake up on time, get showered, get changed and head downstairs towards the kitchen. When you walk through the door, Nat and Wanda are eating breakfast, pancakes, you see that the batter has been left beside the griddle as you approach the counter top, Wanda gets up from her seat to help,

"Morning Y/n" she says, as she grabs the pancake mixture, she gives it a quick stir before making you pancakes,

"You don't have too" you say smiling, while pointing at her making them,

"You missed them yesterday, so I wanted to make them today" she smiles, finally looking up at you, and then you see some of the mixture had gotten onto her cheek, you let out a small laugh, and bring your hand up to her face,

"You've just got a bit of... got it" you say wiping it away, her cheeks are flushed and you smile slightly when you notice and you give her a quick wink when she thanks you. The moment however is interrupted by the sound of Nat coughing from the sofa. You both quickly snap back to what you were doing, when the pancakes are ready you take them over to the table where Wanda joins you. When you are finished you bring your plate over to the sink and thank Wanda again before turning to Nat,

"Ready to kick my ass?" you ask, she springs up a little bit too quickly at your words,

"Always"

After you have finished training with Nat, Friday lets you know that Tony would like to see you in his lab, you look at Nat but she shrugs her shoulders at you, so you head to his lab.

"Y/n you made it" he says more excited than he's ever been,

"I mean you did tell me to come" you say confused,

"Follow me" he tells you as he walks further into his lab, and that's when you see he has created a selection of clothes for you, you look at the clothes in awe, you hold up the clothes,

"They are fire proof" he says proudly, and you light your hands on fire, and the clothes don't burn,

"Tony, you didn't have to do all this" you said looking at your brand new wardrobe, from workout clothes to jeans to jackets,

"Come on, yes I did" he smiles, he grabs you by the shoulders and brings you over to the fabrication machine,

"But this is what I really want to show you" and with that he unveils your new suit, it was a very dark grey with some small warm yellow details, you pick it up and admire it, you could see the detail that was put into making it,

"What is it made out of"

"It's an unstable molecule microweave mesh, it also has tech running through it" he says proudly, he points to the yellow on the suit,

"I just thought that red would have tied too much into the whole angry thing, I thought you would like the warm yellow better" he said, you smile at his words,

"Thank you, Tony"

"I was going to go with Black, but you know, Natasha has the whole black widow thing going on, plus the dark grey might let you blend in with the smoke you-" you cut him off with a hug,

"It's perfect" the hug takes him by surprise, but eventually he puts his arms around you,

"Go try it on, make sure everything works" he said laughing, you bring the suit into the bathroom, and it fits like a glove, you go back out to Tony and he tells you to get your flames out, and you do, and the suit is fine,

"How does it work?"

"The microweave mesh mimics the wearers physical properties" he explains, you increase the heat slightly,
