Chapter Name: War

Yuki PoV

It is dawn, and the light from the sun reaches my eyes, who opens instantly. I never felt so good in this life, for the first time, I slept in a bed, with a window right by my side. I almost forgot I was even a dragon, and when I tried to get out of bed in two legs, I fell.

But that's the past now, okay, it was funny but it doesn't matter okay? Anyways, I think Lumi, mom and dad are worried about where I am, but we will do the transfer right now. I got out of my room, and passed through a hallway, in the end, there was a door. I opened it and it was a library. [A/N - I spent 5 hours+ trying to remember what library is in english, and when I'm writing, I suddenly remember... (I was about to use a translator)] We are inside Fyrus secret house, it's underground but it is still huge.

I waited an hour-ish, and then Fyrus entered the library, with Samui and the two little dragons. I was reading a book, nothing really important for the topic of the meeting but, it's good to know about things from this world. The history in particular.

"Yuki?" Samui spoke, in an anxious voice. "We are here, so, did you solve how to create a link yourself? Or you still need my help?"

"Still need it." I said. "Did you found a way?"

"Yes, he sure did." Fyrus anwsered, and took a step foward. "But I can't have all my memories. I'll lose almost everything, I can save only information of a single person, and that I was reborn."

"Oh." I said, unaware of that. "You still want to do it?"

"Yeah, I do. I'm not ready to die just now." Fyrus said. "And I still need to have revenge on the one that killed Andrin. I'll lose my sovereign power, but I will also lose the restrictions of my actions. A part of them at least."

We started the linking ritual, I put the egg of my brother on the table. and collected a single drop of blood from Fyrus, and gave it to Samui. He put the drop of blood on top of the egg, and sat down in between Fyrus and the egg. A green line made of light started to appear, and connected the Egg with the Sovereign.

"Now!" Samui yelled, and Sol jumped out of by body, in his fox form. He put one of his paws in Fyrus head, and close his eyes.

"Soul Transfer." he said calmly, and everyone went silent.  A minute or so passes by, and Sol body evaporates, but I knew he was inside my body again. Fyrus body falls on the floor, lifeless. Samui is breathing heavily on the floor, and the egg remained the same.

We waited 10 minutes, and nothing. We started thinking we killed Fyrus and it didn't worked, when I was about to pick up the egg, a claw cracked the egg, and then another, until the egg broke, revealing a dark blue dragon with glowing white eyes, without pupils or iris. The dragon was roughly half my size.

"Where's Indry?" The blue dragon said, or rather, Fyrus said.

Indry's Pov

"Where's your brother?!" I asked to Lumi, with an huge concern.

"I don't know either, he said he was going to come back soon but... he didn't came."  My daughter awnsered, and I sighed.

"Calm down dear." Syl said. "We will find him. Let's ask Fyrus, what if he is with him?"

I gazed at my wife's blue eyes, and found that, inside them, he was equally scared as I. Our first son, gone. This is a thing we didn't even wanted to think, but it's all my mind could do in the moment.

A footstep sound grabbed our attention from outside the cave, and I send Lumi to check, and after two minutes or so, she didn't came back. Then I got outside the cave, and saw Lumi, frozen in place, staring at the landscape.

I turn my gaze to the landscape too, and understood why she was that way.

Dragons. A lot of them. But they weren't normal ones, it was the Fire Army.

"Lumi, go with your mom, I'll try to find Yuki." I said to her, and started flying on the direction of the council room, just a little bit to the right of the dragon cloud. Fortunately, they didn't spotted me, thanks to my white scales. I quickly entered the council room, shrinking myself to 4 meters. I ran to the hallways that extended in the mountain's base, and found a door.

There was a sign saying: Enter only in emergency if you're not the Sovereign. This is a emergency, so I entered the room, it was an staircase. I went down as quickly as possible, only to find an library door entrance. I opened it, and as I thought, it was empty too.

I need to find someone, where's everyone? There will be an attack on this country, and nobody is even here? Did they knew about it and left us behind? What if Sovereign Fyrus wanted to k-

"Dad?" I turn to my back and found Yuki, with an dark blue dragon, accompanied by a Human, a familiar one.

"Yuki? What you're doing here? Where's Sovereign Fyrus? Comon you three, we need to get out of here, there's a lot of dragons from another nation on the skie-"

"Calm down Indry, Calm down." The small blue dragon said, and sat down. "We will explain later, but just for now, believe in me for a while, I promise it will be worthy of your time. Bring your family here, and warn to Keith of the attack. We will need to seek refuge on another nation."

"First of all, who are you?" I said, impacient about the attack.

"Fyrus. I... I will explain later, just do what I said. And if you need a proof, when you're 45 years old, I saw you alone in your cave thinking about Syl and doi-"

"Stop." I said, silencing Fyrus. "There's no need to enter in details."

24 Minutes Later

We reunited the council in the Library, our army was fighting the intruders, but we needed to evacuate the people, and we are confused. Not everyone wants to believe Fyrus on how to do things, and no one wants to leave The Tundra behind.

"Silence!" Fyrus yelled. "We can't win this fight. Do you know what human mages did to Andrin. The spear of Ice? Imagine if it was a Dragon! Humans are weaker than dragons, I can even confirm that now that I became one, but we can't win this fight. Their humans are stronger than our strongest general, and the dragons even more!" He paused for breathing. "We need to leave our country behind for now, we will get it back."

"Non-sense." Victor, the mankind representant, said. "You were a human, and now is a dragon, right? This means that you can abandon what is important to you if it makes you live longer! You aren't our leader, we will stay here and fig-"

"Shut up monkey!" Keith interrupted. "Do you know what the first Ice sovereign did for his people? No, no you don't! We will take this land back someday, but today isn't that day. We need to evacuate the people to the Water Kingdom."

"I agree with Keith." Said Lyn, the artic fox. "We can't risk the lives of our people now. As much as I don't want to see this place in the reign of that Fire Tyrant, it's the best we can do."

"I will prepare our way out, the dragons can fly their ways out, so I'll help the Foxes and the Horned Wolves. I'll be waiting on the Dragon's Valley. If the humans wish to get out of this, I'll be there."

I exit the libraryl, and pick up Yuki, who was right outside, eavesdropping everything. Samui, a friend of Fyrus, was with him. I pick him up too, and put both of them in my back. I started to fly, a little low so it would be hard to be spotted, and they started speaking.

"So... why is Fyrus on that form?" I asked, interrupting both of them.

"He is ,tecnically, your son now that I think about it." Samui said, and patted my back. "Your third son wasn't born with a soul, so Fyrus occupied it's body."

I stopped flying for a minute. The sudden shock of knowing that Fyrus used my unborn son's body to stay alive was still being processed. I was about to speak about something, when I heard a noise. I put Yuki and Samui inside my wings, and the two dwarfs dragons were on the backpack of the human, started to exit it, they gazed at my eyes, knowing what was about to happen. I hid myself with the snow, and a flap of wings could be heard.

A dragon stopped flying, and landed right beside us. Another flap of wings was heard, and another one landed, this time, behind me.

"I still didn't found anyone here, what about you?" The dragon right in front of me said to the other dragon.

"I found only a wolf, but it was alerady dead." The dragon behind me spoke, but the wolf being dead grabbed my attention. They alerady started killing people? If I wasn't with Yuki, Samui and the two little dragons, I would kill both of them.

The dragon behind me started to walk towards the other, and stepped on me, his claws cut through my scales, and I couldn't take it anymore. I screamed as I cut his throat. I picked up Yuki and Samui in a hurry, and started to fly away. But the dragon that I cut the throat didn't died. and picked me by my tail, I started to fight both of the dragons, who were on top of me, and managed to successfully escape, but Yuki fell of my back on the process of starting to fly, and when I looked behind, he was captured by one of the dragons.

"If you take another step, we will kill this one!" The red dragon yelled, and I saw Yuki's face, he wasn't afraid. He was trying to say something to me, by moving his mouth.

'G o  A h e a d, I  w i l l   f i n d   a   w a y   o u t'

I started flying backwards, gazing at the two dragons, but when I got far enough, the dragon holding Yuki pierced one of his claws through his chest.
