THE ROMANTICIST
being on the outside was nothing new to mollie mccloud. being a botanical witch, she grew up separate, observing the human world through a tv. when the world ended, so did her observation of the humans. she thought they'd all gone, most unlikely to survive a plague like the one that had so quickly brought their civilization to its knees. however, while on the move to avoid the infected, the young teenage witch comes across a large human settlement.
the kingdom was unlike any human settlement from before the turn. it ran smoothly, the people were happy to put in the work to keep things running and safe. alone, with no where else to go, mollie makes the choice to stay. she has to learn to survive the human way, all while learning that the human world wasn't as simple as it had been on tv. it takes her years, and a bit of adjusting, but by the time mollie is in her late teens, she's become a flourishing member of the community.
learning new things everyday, and just doing her best to exist in the still unfamiliar human world, mollie mccloud has no idea what lies in store beyond the kingdom gates. horror nor delight, hate nor love, nothing could ever prepare mollie for the loud and cruel awakening that the saviors bring.
