An Armful of Crime?

Hello, if you're reading this it means you've made it to the last part of my Spectacular fics. I threw my original plan out the window for a character insert request courtesy of a friend. Said friend requested some Cottagecore, so I'll try my best with that. Not going to heavily focus on it, but I'll try to make it work. (y/n) is gonna be a very bad influence on our soft lil cinnamon roll Otto here, but maybe some help from a neighborhood pastry chef and the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man can save him? This takes place some time before the series begins for fun, wacky, 'anything goes' kinda plot. Now I would've based this on a self insert I made, but I think fresh ideas are much better, don't you? Plus, it gives me an excuse to add the 'Mafia man' to this. Please enjoy, and to Fluff; I hope it turned out as good as you hoped. If not, don't be afraid to voice your opinion.

3 AM in New York was exactly what you'd expect it to be; noisy, active, and sometimes just as stressful as it's PM counterpart. Many people were either headed to work or from it, and two neighbors in a run down apartment complex were having a morning coffee together. "Otto I insist, a few plants here and there can really brighten up a place!" Sammy said, sipping up the last of her coffee before returning the cup to the kitchen and setting it down in the sink to rinse it off. "You know I would like to add some life to this place, Sammy, but with such a fluctuating and sometimes far too busy schedule Mr. Osborn has me working I can't seem to find the time to take care of such things." The larger man said, adjusting his square lensed spectacles and letting out a sigh. "I swear that man overworks you, Otto. You need a vacation. A nice countryside trip in a little cottage where you can relax and unwind while the rest of the world works itself to the bone." Sammy said, a kind smile gracing her face. Otto couldn't help but return the smile. He did enjoy the company of Sammy, even though he was too scared to admit it. Checking his watch, the time read 3:15. "Oh my..." He nearly stuttered. "I'm going to be late!" Getting up fairly quickly, he sped over to his coatrack, grabbing his doctor's coat and keys before Sammy stopped him. "I'll give you a ride, if you'd like? My shop isn't too far from your work, so it's not like it would be any issue. I have to get in early myself. Lots and lots of baking to be done before we open." She said and Otto had to blink a few times in an attempt to process what Sammy just said. "Oh, and I made you something! Come on, you can open it in the car." She continued, grabbing Otto's hand and guiding him out the door and to the car. "Here." Sammy said as they pulled out of the Parking Lot and made their way to Oscorp. Otto took the small box and examined it. It wasn't decorated like crazy, but had a big blue ribbon tying it together. "Well don't just sit there and stare at it. If you open it I'm sure the surprise inside will make you a little bit happier." Sammy said. Opening the package, Otto gently pulled out an orange bowtie and couldn't help but admire the fabric, brushing his thumb across it a few times. "Do you like it? I figured the orange color would kind of tie in with your green and yellow aesthetic, maybe make it stand out more?" Sammy said, hoping Otto would agree. "Yes, it is quite a nice color." He said before asking her to help him tie it on. Pulling up into the Parking Lot of Oscorp, Sammy quickly tied the bow for Otto, making sure it looked just perfect. "Thank you, Sammy." He said, stepping out of the car and heading towards the large building. Sammy was simply beaming at this point, and made it to work with joy radiating off of her. "He's so cute when he's happy." She said to herself.

Meanwhile, on the other end of town, a plot was underway to ransack and destroy Oscorp. (y/n), a very bored recent College Grad, stumbled upon a source of unlimited and volatile power before the whole project was stolen by none other than Mr. Osborn himself. Of course, nobody believed that you were the one who discovered the power, but you were hellbent on proving them all otherwise. How fortunate you were that an unknown sponsor would be donating something worth all the soon-to-be chaos. As you waited outside an abandoned Warehouse for this donation, you heard what sounded like a car pull up nearby. Looking around, you saw this navy blue, old school Limo parked not too far from you. Walking up to it, the Chauffer stepped out of the car and opened the backseat door for you. "Get in." You heard a rough voice say. Slipping inside, you immediately recognized the man as Hammerhead, and got into a very defensive position. "Relax kid, I'm not here to hurt ya. I'm here to drop this off to ya." Hammerhead said as the Chauffer began driving to an unknown location. You took the briefcase from Hammerhead and cracked it open to see a plexiglass cylinder with what you swore was Nanotech. "And just where in the fuck did you manage to find this?" You asked, seriously skeptical of these current events. "Doesn't matter. The point is; You wanna screw with Oscorp, you're gonna need better than the crap you're using already." Hammerhead said, referring to the simple tools you had stuffed in the backpack you never left home without. "And I trust you because..?" You asked, untrustworthy of the man. "..Because without me you'd have nothing, got it? Don't argue with me. The Big Man doesn't even know I'm doing this right now." The man said, looking off to the side and watching the cars and people pass by as the Chauffer continued down less than busy streets. You sat there in silence for a while, thinking about all of this. "So," He said, cutting through the silence. "You in or you out?" You looked down at the Nanotech for a moment before letting out a sigh. "I'm in. Let's do this. Can't be any worse than what I've got going on now." The man glanced over at you, a very slight amount of concern in his eyes. The Limo finally stopped nearby the Oscorp building, and you got out of it pretty fast, but before you could set out to do what needed to be done, Hammerhead stopped you. "Hey kid, she gonna be ok?" He asked, his nearly monotone dialect covering up a deeper care. "She's at the hospital. If you really wanna know, why don't you just go visit her?" You said, slight venom in your voice. "Yeah.." Hammerhead said, signaling to his Chauffer to drive off. Running off to deal with your current problem, you seriously didn't want to have a chat about your mother. She had been in the hospital for almost 3 months now; currently in a coma from the heart attack caused collision with 6 other cars. The bills were generously being covered by her ex lover, and unfortunately, your father, so you didn't have to worry about that. All you needed to worry about was getting revenge. Donning the Nanotech, it covered you head to toe in nigh indestructible metals. The suit was customizable to your preferred colors, but you decided black was the best choice for the task at hand. Using the special gadgets to climb up the building and onto the roof, you slipped into a nearby vent and made your way to the Labs.

When you finally made it inside, you pulled out a scanner to locate anything worth some ounce of value to the company. A blinking light identified something covered up by a tarp, and you decided to check it out. However, just as you were about to do so, somebody entered the Lab and almost caught you. You hid behind a few crates nearby and waited for the person to leave. "Oh dear, oh dear..." The soft spoken man said, rushing to his desk to begin working on his projects. You watched intently, noticing how rushed this man seemed. Shaking your head you made your way over to him, careful not to trip any alarms or alert any guards working. "Gonna be ok, soft boy?" You asked, directing to him with an upward nod. "Wh..who are you?! How did you get in here?!" The man exclaimed and you covered his mouth to stop the yelling. "Names aren't important. What matters is I need info only you can give me." You said, a sly smile on your lips. The man couldn't see that, though. You still had your mask on and weren't interested in showing face just yet. "You shouldn't be in here. If Mr. Osborn sees you.." The man said before you cut him off. "He'll call the fuzz and I'll be thrown in jail. Yeah, I know. Anyway listen; I wanna have an in depth talk with you about the shit that goes on down here. It's... for my mother. She thinks I work here, so if I get some kinda info on what you do here I can relay it to her without giving her too much info, y'know?" The man looked at you with sheer disbelief, not sure what to do in this moment. "Listen, you can either meet me up at a location of your choice, or I can steal whatever's under the tarp. Your call." You said, crossing your arms in wait. "Ok fine.." The man stuttered. "There's a small Bakery not too far from here. Meet me there during lunch." He said, fiddling with his pen. You smiled and nodded, using a grappling hook to return to the vent you came out of. "I'll meet you there." You said, leaving almost as quickly as you came in. The man nearly dropped to the floor in fear, worried that his boss would surely find out about this. Letting out a shaky sigh, he stood up and continued his work, trying to put his mind on something else. "Oh Otto, what have you gotten yourself into this time?" He muttered to himself.
