If I only I knew the danger of getting back into the cars we had arrived in.

I climbed into the back of my eldest brother's truck, feeling an uneasy feeling settle at the bottom of my stomach.

Ben and I were the only two that had walked out to Raf's truck, Raf not in sight.

"Is Raf coming?" I questioned, feeling uneasy about the current situation we were sitting in.

"Yeah. He told me to find you and get in the car" Ben replied, like he didn't have a care in the world.

I then saw Raf appear at the entrance to the hospital, pulling his hood over his head, as he looked around him, before making his way towards the truck.

I hadn't seen where our parents' car had gone, I only knew that I couldn't see it anymore.

"Let's go" Raf then climbed into the driver's seat, putting the car into gear.

The tension was thick in the air.

"Raf, what is going on?" I questioned.

He hadn't been this sceptical when we had entered the hospital.

He didn't have his hood on when we entered.

He had been quite carefree for a person who had been deemed dead for the past 5 years.

"Nothing. We just need to get home" Raf grumbled, as he pulled out of the hospital parking.

I couldn't relax.

Something was definitely wrong.

There was no music blasting through the speakers, there was no laughter nor chatter.

Just plain, tense, silence between the 3 of us.

I noticed that Raf kept looking back and out the mirrors, while Ben kept furiously typing someone, then glancing up in front of him, while I just sat in the back seat.

I decided to take a quick look back, and I saw that we were being chased by 3 big black cars.

We could easily be surrounded by these cars, but the way that Raf was swerving the car every which way, made it harder for them to surround us.

"Sav, there should be a gun hidden under your seat. Grab it" Raf ordered, as he swerved the car down another street.

I quickly unbuckled myself, and reached down, feeling for the compartment that I knew was there.

Every car we owned had a compartment under the seats that was designed for weapons.

I was never told why, but now that Raf had explained everything to me, I understood.

We were part of the mafia.

I grabbed the gun, then sat back up, waiting for the next instructions.

"Shoot at their tyres or something" Raf rushed.
