Chapter 6

Katniss' POV:

"You almost kissed?"

"Yes Glimmer we almost kissed."

"Now now Katniss, stop being such a smart arse."

I give a lopsided smile as I reach for some grapes and plop one in my mouth.

"We all know you like him."

I turn around with a face full of grapes to see Finnick walking in with a very tired looking Annie.

"Shut up, I do not like him", I whine.

"Now Katniss, stop being such a liar liar pants on fire."

He walks over, takes some grapes and goes over and sits at the dining room table.

I hop off my bar stool and all the other girls follow, we hop into the car and head to lunch.

Clove is the first to speak up, "so where should we go?"

"I was thinking Sushi Train."

Everyone nods and we stay quiet the rest of the drive. We get out of the car and walk in.

We sit at the stalls and pick what we what want. We all end up picking Californian.

"So Katniss please tell us do you like Peeta."

"Why does everyone want to know?"

I plop a piece of sushi into my mouth.

"Because Annie gets to know and we don't."

"Oh Clove stop being such a whinge."

"Please Katniss, please tell us."

"Okay fine, I like Peeta Mellark, you happy?"

They all give out an annoying high pitch squeal.

"Omg shut up it's not a big deal, seriously."

"Yes it is."

I give out an exasperated sigh and hop off my stool. I walk over to the trash and chuck out the container.

I wipe my hands on my pants then walk back over and sit on the stool and take a sip out of my lemonade. I wait for everyone to finish.

"So Annie how's it going with Finnick."

A blush starts to creep up on her face, "really really well, in fact we are going out on a date tonight.

"That's great Annie." She gives me a small smile and I grin back.

Once we finish we put all of our stuff in the trash and walk out to go back home.
