Riley

I didn't really know this town, hell I didn't know it at all but what I needed was some fresh air, some time to breath in the hope that at some point James would have read the letter and made a very clear choice, I think the biggest worry I have at the moment is what if he chooses Beth? What is this whole fight was for nothing and I ultimately lost..

I got to a small park and it reminded me a lot of Parkour Alley, it's got a lot of benches and it's missing the graffiti wall but it's enough to give me a glimmer of hope

"Ri" A voice called making me instantly turn around
The moment I heard the nickname, I knew who it was
As I slowly turned, I came face to face with James as he continued to run over here, I tried reading him, searching for a hint as to whether he had read the letter or not

But the moment he came over he took his hands into mine looking at me with a smile on his face

"It's you" He said making me look at him hoping he meant what I thought he did

"I choose you, I'd choose you a thousand times over. It's always been you and it'll only ever be you" He said making me look up at him with a smile
The smile sadly was short lived because the thought of Beth crept in

"But you weren't going to tell me about Beth James, that's not okay" I whispered making him nod
"i don't know what possessed me to even think about that. I don't think I would have been able to go through with it Riley, I know that it should never have been an option. I was an idiot" He said
"but I promise you, I want you and only you" he argued

I wanted to believe him, I wanted to believe every stupid word that left his mouth but my head was playing tricks on me, it was telling me everything I didn't want to hear
The last thing I want right now is to be stuck in a battle of heart vs mind but it would seem I'm in that position

"Riley look at me" James said making me furrow my brow as I watched him go onto one knee again only confusing me a little more

"I've done it once and i'll do it again if it means you realise how much you mean to me Ri" He said still keeping the confused look on my face
"Riley, you are the girl I want to marry. You are the first girl I ever loved and I'm happy to say you'll be my last, I've experienced so much with in my years with you, you helped me grow from a boy to man and I'm ready to take the big leap and be the husband and father you need me to be" He said making me smile

"I'm putting my teenage dramatics completely behind me, after this tour it's all goodbye. You are my focus, you and our baby" He smiled
"I don't need anyone else as long as you tell me you are prepared to put up with my crazy early morning singing in the showers while I listen to your late night gossip sessions after you've been out with the girls" He chuckled

"Are you prepared to put up with my poor time management and bad driving? While I put up with your crazy need to have some sort of organised yet chaotic bathroom and the fact your wardrobe is almost triple the size of mine yet you still have clothes in mine" He chuckled making me wipe a few tears away

"Because if you are Riley then it's a no brainer, you are and always be my girl" He smiled again
"the girl who won me over with those big beautiful brown eyes on the first ever A-Troupe Audition" He continued
"The girl who knows the perfect way to get me wrapped around her little thing" He chuckled
"And best of all, the girl who had loved me no matter how much trouble I've gotten myself into" He finished with the widest smile I had ever seen on his face

"So i'll ask you again Riley, Will you marry me?" He smiled making me join him in the smile before nodding happily

James rose to his feet scooping me up into the biggest hug while the few people around us started to cheer making us very much aware of their presence
James and I pulled away slightly, only enough for our lips to be connected in the most passionate kiss I've had in a while

"I love you" James said making me smile
"I love you too you idiot" I chuckled before he crashed our lips together again
