Part 9. Tokyo Drift

I throw my arm down.

They speed to the mountain as fast as possible.
The first turn is coming up.

I run to Twinkie and watch Sean drift the corner perfectly. They're ties.

"Hold on!" A gang member yells

We all look over at him

"We want the girl over here until the end. Don't want her running off." He says

They look at me and I reassure them its ok. I walk over and stand between two body guards.

Win this Sean.

Please.

The second turn comes up. Judging by the look and sighs I don't think Sean is  doing very good. My heart sinks.

I look over at Takashis uncle. He sits there smoking his cigar. Pathetic. I scough and look back at my friends.

As the minutes pass I cant tell what's going on. The groups faces keep changing. As of now. I don't think Sean's winning.

"They've reached the top!" Suki yells over

I look at her and speak

"Results?!" I ask

Her face goes blank and she looks back at the cameras.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

I haven't realized but this whole time. Hans been staring at me. I look at him and smile. I mouth to him.

"I'm ok. It's gonna be ok. I promise."

"I love you Odessa Black." He mouths

"I love you more." I mouth

"Not possible." He smiles

I smile and look back at the group. It's almost over. Their faces are all looks of being terrified. I'm so scared I can't even lie.

"Come on Sean." Twinkie says

"How many more turns?" I ask

"4!" Twinkie yells back

4.Sean drifts past Takashi perfectly. They cheer.
My hopes raise and I smile down.

3. Takashi gets mad. He tries edging Sean off the side.
I drop.

2. Takashi tries one more time. Sean speeds ahead quick. Takashi misses. His car falls down. The glass break and he's left upside down on the last part of the moutin.

1. Sean races down past him.

My friends scream in joy. I see Sean race to us and run out of the car. I drop to my knees and put my hands in my face. Im sitting in shock.

I'm not dead.

IM. NOT. DEAD.

I run and hug Sean as tightly as I can.

"THANK YOU!!" I yell

"No problem sis.." He says in my ear.

Everyone's crying of joy and hugs me.

"Odessa!!" I hear The body guard yell.

I look over at him.

"You are free to go." Uncle says

They all get in cars and leave. I see a fucked up Takashi on the ground.

"Odessa!" He says limping towards me.
I say nothing
He puts his hand on my shoulder gently.

"I'm sorry you had to go through this. Thank you for everything you've done. You're amazing. It's an honor to have worked with you. Thank you. Really. I hope you have a good life. Try and stay out of trouble D. Don't forget me." He says smiling
