Part 10. And were back

I sit on the one way flight to California with Han.

We've been on this plane for 11 hours. Only 1 more to go. My heart is racing to touch down and see my family.

Me and Han both paid a lot of money to have our cars waiting at the airport for us when we land. There was a deal that a car shipment was about to go out and if we do it now and pay a lot they'll be there when we land.

I look over at Han who finally woke up from his sleep.

"Good Morning" I say to him smiling

"Morning." He says groaning with his morning voice

"Sleep well?"I ask

"As well as one could sleep on a plane" He smiles at me

"Fair enough."I say to him

"You slept yet?"He asks

"For a few hours." I say to him

"Ok how did I sleep more then you. You had to be way more stressed about the "Im either gonna die or leave my home" thing." He says

"I was, but with the whole death thing I was scared sure. But I came to terms with it more because I knew that even though I'm taking my life. I'm saving more. You weren't at terms with that." I say

"Fair enough. We almost there?" Han says

"Yep 1 hour. Should be descending soon I think." I say

"Great. You excited?" Han asks

"So fucking excited you have no idea. You?" I say to him

"You have no idea." He says at me smiling 

The pilot comes over the speakers.

"Hello Tokyo passengers. We will be descending into Los Angeles California in about 15 minutes. The time here is 11 am. Its 85 degrees out and sunny. I hope you enjoyed your flight with us and have a great time." He says

I look at Han with excitement. I cant wait.

We finally touch down and get off the plane. I run down the aile and to the car pickup.

"CHRIST ODESSA IM EXCITED TOO BUT CAN YOU STOP RUNNING" Han yells after me

"HAN IM IN BIG BOOTS IF I CAN RUN SO CAN YOU" I yell back

I hear him laugh after me. I run up to the desk for car pick up.

"I'm here to pick up 2 cars please." I say to the front desk lady

"Great what's the name under?" She asks

"Holly shit Odessa. You're a fast runner" Han says running up to me out of breath

I look at him and laugh.

"Its probably under the name Han Lue" I say to her

"Ok and what kind of cars are they?" She asks

"One of them is a black and Orange Mazda RX-7. The other is a green and black Eclipse." I say

She checks the computer and says it's ready for pickup on the next floor.

We thank her and I run off to the elevator. I hear Han groan behind me

"Not again Odessaaaa" He wines

I run up to the elevator and wait for Han to come up. Once he's with me we go to the lot and find our cars. I can feel my heart going a million miles an hour. In about 20 minutes I get to be back home.

"Follow me" I yell to his car.

He gives me a thumbs up and we drive off fast to the house. I blast music and speed down the road. I take the turn into the neighborhood and so many memories come back at once. Learning to drive, speeding, cook outs with the family. It is so good to be back.

I finally pull up to the house speeding in. Hans on the side. I see Dom, Brian, and Tej all outside. They see our cars and clearly don't recognize us. We deal with a lot of risky activity so they probably on high alert to us right now. We both just sit in our cars for a second before Brian stands up.

"Can I help you?" He says to us

I step out of the car

"Yes you can I'm looking for the Torreto family." I say to him

His eyes widen with excitement when he sees me. He runs up to me and gives me a hug.

"ODESSA WE MISSED YOU." He says to me

"I missed you too Brian." I hug back

"I brought someone with me too!"I yell

Han comes out of the car and says hello

Brian gives him a hug and Tej comes and gives me a hug.

"Welcome back Odessa" He says to me

"Glad to be here." We laugh

He moves over to Han then Dom comes over to me.

"Hey D. Thanks for coming Lettys gonna be so happy to see you." He says

On that cue Letty comes out the door. When she sees me she yells,

"ODESSA AND HAN" as she runs over to give me the biggest hug

"I thought you were never coming back I can't believe you didn't call me bitch" She says to me

"AH don't say that I didn't know I was even coming back until yesterday night at like 11 pm. I just called Dom and told him we were coming back wanted to surprise you." I explained

"I see. Well I can't believe you're back. I love your outfit by the way." She says

I forgot I haven't been able to change my outfit since the race. I'm still in a black dress with the sides cut out, a garter, and boots with two French braids.

"Yeah I should probably change. Suki gave it to me." I say

Then finally Roman comes out yelling like a like girl

"ODESSAA AND HAN ARE BACKKK"

He attacks me in a bear hug then goes to Han for the same thing. He holds both of us under his arms.

"Man why didn't yall TELL ME you were coming back we been missing you." He says

"We didn't know till last night we were coming back either" Han says

"Well at least yall are here." Roman says

"So why is everyone here so early?" I ask

"We all decided to have breakfast together." Brian says

"Oh makes sense" I respond

"By the way I love your guys new rides." Brian says to us

"Thanks built it up in Tokyo. I gotta get some of my other cars shipped back." Han responds

"Its nice and I might have to steal that Eclipse from you D" Brian says

"Anytime man, as long as you lend the skyline." I say

He laughs and says ok. We all stand there outside for a while and converse. I missed this.

"So are you guys just visiting or is this the real deal?" Tej asks

"Were actually not allowed to have any contact to Tokyo for the most part for a while. So yeah. It's the real deal." I share

This is followed by things like "Yesss" and "That's great" here and there.

We decide to all spend the day together and talk about literally everything we missed these past few years. It's so good to be back in California, with the Family.
