Deception | (Mikey X Reader X Draken)

First Impressions

"It's all your fault that one of my members is out! Kiyomasa was one of my best fighters and now he's gone because of you and your buddy over there... so what're you gonna do to pay for it, huh dipshit?"

Held up by the collar of my shirt, a scary-looking delinquent yelling in my face, and a crowd of gang members staring at the scene unfolding in front of them. This isn't exactly how I anticipated my night going, yet here I am... Geez. How is it that I ended up in this type of situation again? Or better yet, why did I LET myself get into this situation?

"The Mikey and Draken faction?" Takemichi says in confusion.

Naoto nods and turns back to his laptop and scrolls through his files, "Yes. According to several reports and posts, there was a disagreement between the Commander and Vice Commander of the Tokyo Manji Gang. The inner strife lead to a divide in the gang, and at its weakest point, there was a brawl between themselves and another gang, which is the event of Ken Ryuguji's death."

"Damn it... this keeps getting more and more complicated," you sigh, frustrated as you read. "Two weeks sure seems like a lot of time but it's gonna be tough figuring out what the hell happened between them 12 years ago that somehow lead to a death of a kid..."

"But there's no way. There has to be some sort of mistake," Takemichi speaks up, "Draken understands Mikey more than anyone else! There's no way they would ever fight!"

"Are you saying there's something more to it?" Rin asks.

"I- well... I don't know. I just know that it's impossible!"

"Akkun said Draken wasn't supposed to die back then... but it's a fact now that Draken is dead. We need to find out what happened before it's too late," you say standing up.

"Find out what happened within the gang to cause the faction, and save Draken. That's our mission this time," Takemichi says, following your lead. "Is there anything else we need to cover before we go back to the past?" Takemichi asks.

"I think you pretty much summed up everything we needed to know about your next mission," Rin responds. She and Naoto join the two of you in standing.

"Manjiro Sano apparently changed after Ryuguji's death. Atsushi Sendo committed suicide because he feared Tetta Kisaki. And because Toman became brutal and evil, they killed Hinata Tachibana, Kousuke L/n, and Akiko L/n. If this mission is successful, we should be able to save all of them," Naoto reminds.

"Save all of them..." Takemichi repeats.

"Yes."

"Then this is the perfect solution," you say with a smirk. Takemichi nods and you both look at your other pair for your trigger.

"You have 2 weeks until August 3rd. That should be enough time but be cautious and use your time wisely," Naoto advises. "There could be unforeseen problems."

"And if the two of you happen to end up in this fight between the two gangs, please be careful..." Rin says with concern.

"I'll make sure she's safe," Takemichi responds sincerely.

"I said both of you."

Takemichi looks surprised, but it slowly turns into a warm smile. "We will."

Rin nods, "Good." She turns back to you and you could tell she still had it rolling around in her head.

"Hey. You and I shared a promise too, remember? I haven't forgotten that," you say with a smile as you pat her shoulder. "We'll be right back. And when we return successfully, let's all celebrate our victory together. A nice expensive restaurant will do."
