The following Monday morning, the kids were at school as usual but news about the invasion was included in the strategies. For Lisa, it was the dream assignment she was hoping for, while Bart sees it as another day of slaving. Bart often loathed doing what was ordered from him, but he was out of luck thanks to increasing screening. At the Nuclear Power Plant, Homer and the crew were talking about the events they had to handle during the weekends. Word was getting around about the invasion while trying to figure out what Springfield has in store.

"Can you believe Burns is building a militia of his own?" Carl asks.

"Is that even legal to create your own? I thought you have to get the government permission." Lenny wondered.

"With Mr. Burns, what did you expect?" Carl asks.

"Well, those buttheads gave us a full moon," Homer said.

"Yeah about them, who the hell are they?" Carl asks.

"They looked like those creeps from They Live ," Lenny said.

"Still remember that line..." (He stands up, picks up some shades.) "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass..." Homer said.

The intercom turns on.

"Attention, attention, we are having a try-out for the nuclear-militia league. Those interested are welcome to sign-up at the front desk." Smithers said.

To the crew

"... I'm out of... oh never mind, I found bubblegum," Homer said.

"Wanna bet they'll make it a mandate?" Carl asks.

"What's the worst that can happen?" Lenny asks.

Cue to the office...

"Hold on, a fax just came in." (He reads.) "Oh... the following is needed at the cooling towers, Ivana Humpalot, Phil McCracken, and I.E. Come." Smithers said, before ending the intercom.

Burns was examining the monitors.

"They looked... wait a minute. Those Martians again." Burns said.

All the monitors show the plant workers laughing.

"BLAST! THOSE MARTIANS ARE GOING TO GET IT." Burns said.

"I'm not sure if any of our workers would be the ideal soldiers to deal with these aliens," Smithers said.

"Don't worry. We'll just get any sucker if we must." Burns said.

"Like who," Smithers said.

"Well, who would it be..." Burns said.

Burns reviews the plans for the response against the Gnard Martians.

"Which guerrilla warfare would be suited? Or, should I go for an air invasion?" Burns asks.

"Why not that song that was used last time?" Smither asks.

"That can work," Burns said.

Back to the crew

"Now, that's funny!" Carl asks.

"I guess Moe isn't the only target," Lenny said.

"That's something I expect from Bart. Can't believe Smithers fell for it?" Homer states.

In the meantime, Calypso, Lux, and Memphis were looking around the Channel 6 studio. They had to look over the previous night's footage in regards to Loki and Aries. They were trying to get a clue on where the duo was, let alone what they were doing. They had gotten a group of instant Avian Martians, as a patrol. This catches the attention of those around the building.
