Later that night in Springfield, Homer arrives home with some documentation from his employment. Homer wanted to show off what had happened at work, including Burns's prank calls. Bart was still in misery after his day, while Lisa was excited about the other assignments the school has to offer. Bart grudged and sulked at Lisa for demanding harder work, but Lisa pointed out how it actually got the school back on its feet. Marge, however, was concerned about what was going on. They were sitting in the living room.

"C'om Marge, this was funny. Smithers got pranked over the intercom," Homer said.

"What kind?" Bart asks.

"The kind Moe gets a lot of." (He laughs.) "Phil McCracken," Homer said, laughs.

Bart and Lisa chuckle.

"Look, I understand you're in high spirits but this is getting more dangerous for the kids," Marge said.

"Mom, while you're worried about us kids, you have to keep in mind you can't just shelter everyone. News is still going to get out," Lisa said.

"Yeah, I'm waiting for my Duke Nukem moment." (He puts on some shades.) "Let's Rock!" Bart said.

"That's the spirit boy," Homer said.

"Look, I just don't want to make that one fault more could be disastrous. Early today, Maggie was looking at one of those strange green ostriches running around," Marge said.

"I have seen one of that oversize dodo birds," Bart said.

"It's impressive that you know what a dodo bird looked like before they have gone extinct," Lisa said.

"Well, that's why they were dodos!" Bart said.

Homer laughs.

"HOMER!" Marge said.

"C'om Marge, someone had to come up with a stupid bird," Homer said.

"Well, these birds didn't go extinct. They're increasing in numbers. Yet, they seemed to be leaving us alone." Marge said.

"They could be scouts, looking for something that could be harmful to us," Lisa said.

"Now they're getting scouts. Aren't those octopuses enough?" Bart demanded.

"One way to find out," Homer said.

Homer turns on the TV, which turned to the news.

"That's better... wait," Homer said.

It was turned to the penitentiary.

"OH MY GOD!" Marge yells.

"That's what I'm talking about! Probe SIdebow for me," Bart said.

Both Homer and Bart snickers.

"Bart, they can't hear you though I would relax the laws to allow that," Lisa said.

"Hey looks, those buttheads are taking over the prison!" Homer said.

"Lucky sons of bitches" Bart said.

"BART," Marge said.

Some of the Avian Martians spot them, starting a shoot-out.

"Those ostriches!" Marge said.

"Wait a minute, they might there for a reason. Look!" Lisa said.

"What is going on?" Bart asks.

"Those ostriches are fighting those buttheads, leave them to those guys," Homer said.

"So, that's why. Those ostriches were sent to deal with those 'buttheads' dad like to call," Lisa said.

"Finally, some action! Get them, boys!" Bart said.
