*three weeks later*

At around 7:50pm, on a chilly Sunday evening, Dylan was laying in bed scrolling through Instagram. Jay was sat downstairs with hailey, watching a film together whilst sharing a huge bowl of popcorn, which Dylan had already stole from. She snickered at the video which appeared on her screen when one video caught her eye. It was a girl her age, pranking her dad with a picture of young Leonardo dicaprio, she smiled as the cogs started turning in her head. As she opened google, she decided to prank jay... She hasn't been downstairs in a few hours so that means it might work.

She held her breath as she sent jay an old picture of Noah beck, making him look more her age. It took a few minutes, but he eventually opened the message and instantly began typing.
Dyl: *image* "sup, Dylan's bro"
Jay: "huh?????"

She snickered as she heard him talking to hailey downstairs, before moving onto the next part of the prank.
Dyl: "sorry lol, he took my phone"

She smirked as he read the message instantly, yet her heart skipped ten millions beats when the sound of loud, and very fast, footsteps began approaching the stairs... then the hallway... then her door. She jumped out of her skin when the door flew open without warning, "where is he?" Jays face was filled with anger. Dylan widened her eyes, "woahhhhhh, it's just a joke man..." she knelt up. Jays eyebrows furrowed as hailey appeared behind him, "what?" He shook his head. Dylan smirked, "it was a joke... there is no boy" she scoffed a laugh. Hailey smirked slightly, "are you kidding me? I shit myself, dyl, god. Don't ever do that again" he wandered over to her, tackling her down.

"Your face..." Dylan burst out into a fit of laughter, "it was a picture" she snickered. Jay smiled as he remained in the same tackled position, his arm gently pressed against her collar bone, "you're gonna give me a heart attack one of these days" he shook her gently. Hailey smiled at the interaction between the two, no wonder they're her favourite humans.

"Guess what?" Dylan dived into the sofa the next morning, practically waking jay up from his half asleep state, "schools cancelled, I know..." he sighed. Given that the snow was somewhat heavy, school wasn't on today, "well yeah, that. But guess again..." she looked up at him as she rested her head on his lap. Jay raised his eyebrows, looking down at her and nodded, "i don't know" he sighed. Dylan rolled her eyes, "you're terrible at this game" she rolled over to rest her chin on her hands, "I have a skating comp next weekend" she smiled. Jay smiled, "really? I'll be there, and I'm sure Hailey and will would love to come too" he nudged her arm. Jay smiled as Dylan nodded, "I'll be looking out for you" she rested against his leg, already knowing today was going on drag in...
