Epilogue

7 years later

"You'll be alright! Just calm down" Dolores said to me who was pacing back and forth

"But what if something goes wrong? What if Bruno actually predicts rain?" I said aloud

"No offense of course, if it does it's not his fault" I said to Dolores

"Listen. Nothing will go wrong. It's alright...you'll do great. Just breathe" she said. She held my hands and helped me calm down before letting go

"Thanks Dolores...but what if something happens with Camilo" I said, panicking again

Dolores snapped her finger, causing me to stop. "Y/n! Calm down, he's not gonna do anything to hurt you. In fact he's talking about you right now" she said, lifting her ear up

"Really? What's he saying" I asked, hoping Dolores would tell me.

"He's saying-" Dolores said before shifting into Camilo

"-you look beautiful. This is our day, nothing's gonna go wrong...I won't let it happen" Camilo said.

That startled me so I almost smacked him. "CAMILO?! WHAT WAS THAT" I said

"Dolores said you were nervous, so we switched when she "left for water"" he replied

I almost wanted to yell. But he pulled me into a hug. "It'll be ok? Alright. This is our day, nothing can ruin it as long as I have you" he said

I began to feel a lot better...Camilo definitely reminded me a lot of Felix comforting Pepa

"Here let me help you clean yourself up, I hate to see my soon-to-be eternal companion so sad and worked up on their wedding day" he said, smiling as I let him wipe away my tears and straighten my top

"Alright, but we saw each other's wedding clothes." I said, bummed out

Camilo immediately closed his eyes and put his hand over them. "Aye let's just pretend we didn't see anything" he said, bumping into the wall

"Ah, right. The door is that way" he said, walking out before opening his eyes and closing the door

"I love you mi vida" he said through the door. I soon heard his footsteps leave

I fixed myself up some more before I began to think of this special day

It was finally the day I was going to get married to the one I truly loved. And we have a lifetime to spend together

Isabela soon walked in. "Everyone's ready for you" she said before growing a beautiful red flower in my hair

"Thanks Isa" I said as she walked out

As I opened the door, I noticed a trail of petals, signaling me to follow. But the church was the other way?

"What does this even mean" I mumbled. I didn't want to be late, but could this not be a more obvious trail to follow?

"Damnit" I muttered as I began to follow the trail. It lead all the way back to casita. I was greeted by Julieta.

She motioned for me to go inside. As I walked in, chairs were all set up and the stairs moved to the center, leading up to what was Abuela's door, which was now Mirabel's.

There Mirabel stood holding the candle and next to her Camilo in a nice white suit. He looked very handsome and happy.

I walked past the rows of chairs with the family and townsfolk in it. I looked at Dolores who was with Mariano.

Dolores was pregnant and was holding her 4 year old son while Mariano was holding their 2 year old twins. She gave me a thumbs up.

Pepa and Felix were in the row next to them. Pepa had a small cloud hovering, trying her best to not let it rain. Felix was smiling too

Antonio was sitting on his jaguar next to his parents

Isabela was in the next row with Luisa. They both looked super happy.

Julieta and Agustin sat in front of them. Bruno, David sat next to them too. David gave me a smile

I sighed deeply and began to walk up. I kind of stumbled a bit, causing Camilo to walk down and help me up

Even though I didn't fall, it was still slightly embarrassing. But it was nice to have Camilo come down, even if he was supposed to wait up there

"Thanks Camilo" I whispered.

"It's my pleasure mariposa" he said gripping my hand tighter as we continued to walk up

It began to sprinkle. I looked back and saw Dolores whispering to Pepa. She must've told her what Camilo said

We finally reached the top.

Mirabel stood between us and held the candle out.

I gently placed my hands around the candle and Camilo put his hands over mine.

"May you two be together for a long time...and uh, may this marriage strengthen the magic. May you two love each other for a long time" Mirabel stuttered

"Ugh. Sorry this is my first time." She said, since Abuela usually hosted the wedding ceromonies. Dolores was the last one she did before passing

"What I'm trying to say is, we all hope for you two to have a long and happy life together" she said.

Me and Camilo smiled at Mirabel. She was doing great.

"You can kiss now" she said, smirking a little.

Me and Camilo were affectionate in public, but come to think of it, I don't think we've ever kissed in front of the family

I looked to Camilo and he looked back. He smiled and nudged me to come closer. And he did it

The family began to cheer and celebrate. Mirabel clapped from the side. The candle glowed brighter.

For me and Camilo, this was an intimate moment. It always felt like it was only us two when we kissed

We broke when it began to lightly hail. Pepa was crying now.

We broke the kiss and smiled.

"Alright come on for a picture, tradition is tradition" Mirabel said, handing us the candle

We went to the front door. Just like casita said a few years ago, an image of me next to Camilo was etched into the door.

I was the newest member behind Mariano and his kids

Mirabel finally brought the camera out. Me and Camilo held the candle and each other tightly before Mirabel took the photo

We also took a picture with Camilo's parents

We partied and celebrated a lot that day.

It was night by now and the party was almost finished when Mirabel approached us, handing us the photo in a nice frame. "I'm happy for both of you" she said

"Do me the honor" she said, pointing for us to hang our picture up next to all the other wedding photos in the dining room

I handed it to Camilo who hung it next to the one with Dolores and Mariano.

"You look so good as a Madrigal" Camilo said to me. I simply smiled before he gave me a quick kiss

After we finished, we continued to stand in each other's embrace staring at the photo.

"I look forward to growing old with you" Camilo said.

"Me too" I replied, kissing him on the cheek.
