Wake up Ellie. Need to get up. I tell myself as I force myself out of bed. I wouldn't be out of place in a zombie movie if anyone see me at this state. Dragged my feet to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. Why do they have to arrive so early?! I had a late night last night with my student. For some reason he wanted to chat more. I was exhausted and to be honest stressed from preparing for this whole thing. Booking a hotel room, the conference room, restaurants etc. Man this guy is busy. He is all over town and everyone who's anyone seems to want to have a meeting with him. His schedule keeps changing as we get closer to the date as more and more people want to wine and dine him.

Who is this guy exactly?

All I know is that he's a big time music producer who's been around for ages. He used to be part of a group but they're in hiatus now following one of them getting married and expecting a kid. and four of the members focusing on releasing a new album. They have another member who is currently taking on a more active role in the corporate side of their company whilst their group is in hiatus.

Their fans are still actively supporting them. Some of the fans can be very enthusiastic and sadly, this sometimes causes inconvenience both to the artists and the people they are with or anyone who is within their vicinity. They also want their fans' safety as a big crowd can potentially cause hazard and ruckus along the way. That's why his manager and company wants to hush and keep this trip in the down low. They even requested for the translator to be an older person or someone who wouldn't be too excited or care to share who their client is just to make sure word does not go out. That's how I come into the picture. I know nothing about them and I certainly don't have anyone to share this seemingly great privilege to breath the same air this guy is breathing.

I finally got myself together and since today's forecast says it won't be that cold, I've put on a knitted plum long sleeve blouse with a high scalloped neck giving it a playful twist to the turtle neck and paired it with dark olive green pants, flowing straight down just above my ankles showing my block heel pumps giving me a boost of 1 inch of extra height. I grabbed a camel coat just in case it gets cold later in the day. And finally my trusty black bag that I've been using since forever getting the most out of my money.

My phone rang and it's Chris telling me he's only 5mins away so I ran out the door down the lift and into the lobby to meet him and head to the airport to meet our VIPs. I don't always do airport pickups but since I'm the translator during this entire trip, I had to. The lift ding'd and I'm out just in time as Chris pulled over.

"Morning! Looking hot at 4am!"

I rolled my eyes at him. Chris is one of the few friends I made after I moved here. I thought I lost him when he asked me out before. Of course if I'm not ready to meet anyone now I'm certainly not even close to "re..." back then. To be honest I was well and truly a mess. Struggling to find who I am, what I want, battling bouts of depression. It was quite surprising how Chris managed to get close to me at that time. And I'm so glad he stayed by my side even after being turned down. He still flirts with me every now and then but it's just all fun and games to him. We work well together and he's one of the few people who has seen me change to who I am right now.

"I heard your guy is VVIP. Have you been given a name yet?"

"Yeah I got it."I pulled out a cardboard with a name printed on it and flashed in front of Chris.

"Park..Mehn..Hoe? Park Mehn Hoe. Never heard of him."

"Park Minho." I pronounced in Korean stressing the long i and short o. "That's the manager's name. They don't want us flashing the placard in the airport with his name on. His name is actually Min Yoongi. He also goes by SUGA."

Airports usually have a back way for celebrities when they want to avoid the press but our airport is too small for that. So that was our only solution.

"Wait what? SUGA like producer SUGA?" His eyes big and voice getting excited and switching his eyes from me to the road.

"I guess so. He's a music producer. You know him?"

"Know him?! I'm a freaking fan! This dude is a legend. I can't believe I'm meeting him!" He slammed his fist on the steering wheel. I've never seen him this excited before.

"Geez calm down Chris!"

I'm oddly nervous at meeting this guy now. Chris don't get excited over celebrities and we get a lot of those in town especially during the holidays but this Min Yoongi is obviously an exception for him.

"You know they keep this in the down low cause of the fans who might come and see him right? You gotta keep it together for your man crush." I teased him.

"Of course I'm a profesh!" His smile still as big as it was earlier.

"You can't tell anyone ok." I wagged my finger at him. "No photos. No autographs." I added.

He turned to me and narrowed his eyes. "But I can say I'm a fan right?"

"No. They didn't want anyone who knows them on this trip to the point they asked for an older person thinking they won't know him."

I'm chuckling as I say this cause Chris' face is now contorted to the absurdity of the request.

"What? Why you're face like that?"

"And they agreed to have you? How OLD are you?"

I just remembered one of the reasons I told him when I turned him down was that I'm too old for him. Which is somewhat true cause I'm 5 years older than him but him acting crazy and me busy with figuring out my life pretty much adulting since my medical episode seem to make the age gap a lot more "Too old for you."

"I like older women though." He winked at me and he's back to flirting forgetting about his man crush.

"Yeah right keep driving this old lady, we have work to do."

It was a short drive to the airport. It's autumn now so it's still quite dark when we arrived. There wont be light until around 7am. We arrived with still 30mins to spare so we grabbed coffee to go and I can't help but google this guy. Under Min Yoongi discography I can see a long list of songs credited to him. I don't know any of them.. surprise.. but I might know if I get to listen to it. I looked at the time and I waved at Chris who's now chatting up a blushing barista. This guy is a natural flirt. He got up and jogged my way.

"Ready to meet your man crush?"

"Let's go!"

And he picked up the folded placard I had laid down on my side. I threw the coffee cup and the bin and took a deep breath.

"Let's go" I tell myself. I have a feeling this will be interesting.
