She was working at Firehouse 51 under her boyfriend. Dawson was the Paramedic in Charge (I'm going to refer to it as PIC) of Ambulance 61. She co-owns a bar called "Molly's" with Christopher Herrmann, Otis, and Leslie Shay. However Shay recently passed while on the job. Everyone is still healing over it. Dawnson was accepted to the Chicago Fire Academy, where she initially failed her physical agility test by several seconds after spraining her ankle. When Shay passed she moved back to the paramedic role. She then worked for her paramedic license and successfully completed it. Dawson saves a boy Louie in a house fire and she wants to foster him, which causes tension between her and Casey. They further adopt him due to their first miscarriage. That was over 8 years ago.
Casey:
Casey is a firefighter at Firehouse 51. He was a Lieutenant and is now a Captain in the Chicago Fire Department on Truck Company 81. Casey has had an ongoing feud with Detective Hank Voight (a detective at Chicago P.D)
