Ice prince Park Sunghoon has reported to quit competing in ice skate competitions. He posted an letter on his twitter account with:
"Hi everyone, im making this letter while my friends are in the room with me and i've never been this happy. These last months i've finally found a way to tell everyone what's been going on in my mind. Yes i do still love ice skating but im gonna quit competing, don't worry, i'll definitely continue but i was being pressured by my parents. They treated me like a doll, not their son, dad sold my medals and mom let me attend events while i did not wanna go, school and friends? did not have that. I had my cousin and sister, nothing more. Until i met my boyfriend, everything changed and i've never been this happy, he was the first one who saw me as the real me, outside my family and im so grateful for that. I let out my voice and this is my decision. I've made great memories and new friends, i'll miss it but im entering a new chapter of my life.
And please don't comment about me not caring about every win, about me using my fame. I did it because i love ice skating and the attention i got felt great as a kid but im growing up and it now feels like im being used. Im not selfish but im doing whats best for myself.
