Your Warmth

A cold rainfall invaded the entire afternoon of Ahsland as waterdrops trickled down on the foggy glassed window of the young florist's room, her eyes darted hurtfully at the sight, remembering the weather's condition that made herself everyone stuck inside their own homes and waited until it was done

But that wasn't just the only thing that bothers her

It was the unbearable cold

No matter how the windows and doors tight shut, her effort of putting another layers of clothing covering herself from head to toe, the warm cocoa that Wybourne had provided for the both of them and the thick blankets surrounding them on the bed, the chilling breeze of the rain still manage to seep through the place, scattering it's cold inside that she could describe her room as a freezing vault

Coraline clenched her teeth, crossing her arms to give herself warmth as every inch of her body shivered uncontrollably, cold seeping through her flesh and her bones as if trying to make her go numb

the black cat catiously went to approach his own provided bed and thick sheets of warm blankets, the feline purred in content and wrapped himself inside, curling his slender body perfectly fit on the soft mattress

If only she has the resistance just like the cat

Turning her head around beside Wybie that had been sitting beside for an hour, his attention was fully in control towards the television with a documentary film showing at the screen, for a couple of minutes of observing the film, the young mechanic shuddered after listening and drank half of his cocoa before sitting himself straight to ease the numbing pain for staying too much on a single position

"How in a world can you move around when it was so cold at this point.." Coraline asked in bewilderment as she watched him pulling his jacket tighter

Wybie sheepishly grinned "I am trying to distract myself by watching so that I won't feel the cold through me..." he chuckled at his own reply

Coraline shooked her head as she smiled before taking the last sip of her cocoa as well, groaning in defeat for nothing had change on what she was feeling against the cold air

Until she decided to squirm herself inside the blankets even closer, hopefully that something might change, she halted as soon as she felt her foot had accidentally rested on Wybie's side

Coraline blinked for a few seconds as she could felt how warm he was

But neither did he flinched nor taken in shock at the sudden impact on his body for his attention was still towards the televisiom

An idea came to Coraline's mind

For the sake of herself from surviving, the florist moved closer towards the mechanic, struggling herself to crawl without disturbing him at even an inch, she gritted her teeth again for her body was close of shivering, patting his arm, Wybie confusingly turned his head away towards the television to see Coraline was hovering him from behind

"Excuse me-"

"W-wait what are you doing-"

But before Wybie could finish his question, Coraline had already invaded his space and wrapped herself up, hugging him from behind as tightly as she could

He froze in an instant on her the sudden contact, not because of how close they've been but the fact that Coraline was the first one make contact

"What's with the mood all of a sudden?" Wybie joked and loosening his grip of his remote when a slight shiver coming through his back he felt

But it wasn't him, but it came from her

"This stupid rain is making me feel like freezing ice, i-it's so cold and you're warm..." she groaned as she lay her head down on him

He laughed as soon as he realized that he just became her personal heater for the weather, couldn't take those quirky attempts because of it, Wybie finally understood what he should do, scooted himself closer, opening his arms and held her close around his arms just for Coraline to share enough of his warmth

he pulled the thick blankets around them and lay beside her

"There, better?" he asked, staring directly back to her their inch apart faces as Coraline nodded her head

"Much better, but could still feel the cold on face face, I feel like I'm going to caught a flu if this keeps getting longer..." she groaned, attempting to busy her face on the sheets when she could felt Wybie chuckled again

"Well I guess...it wouldn't do too much, but.." he replied avoiding his gaze for a minute, leaving Coraline raising her brow in confusion upon what he meant

"But what?"

He smiled, wrapping her close to his chest, Wybie, seeing the hesitant from his eyes for a second but immediately stopped himself, finally kissed her cold shivering lips against his warm one gently and with such careful

Stricken at this, she could felt the heat had begun to spread across her face, Coraline moved her face away in shock

"Why did you do that?" Was the first thing that her mouth blurted out in panic

"W-well.." realizing that he had already done it, "I-I just thought that maybe it'll help since I felt that everytime..." nervous as he tried to explain, his voice lowered in embrassment, thinking to himself if he did it just right

But neither of them said after that

Only staring at each other in silent, taking glances at each other

And another unexplainable feeling filled inside her pounding chest

"But...but it made it a bit warmer, right?" He asked in wonder and nervous while looking at her face, hoping that nether what happened did not upset her

Instead her face was no longer like the pale ones causing by the cold she had a few hours ago

But her face was now flushed red across her cheeks and ears

Shaking her head in disbelief that she had been shivering for countless of hours and desperately trying to find ways to survive through the cold

And the only thing that was able to prevent those was just Wybie's warmth, HIS warmth..

she chuckled to herself

Coraline looked at him and amusingly sighed, hugging him tighter as and closed her eyes

"You know what?" She whispered, laying her head closer to him "I think you should do it more often..."

Shutting her mouth with that final message, Wybie blinked and grinned as a swarm of warmth suddenly spread all over him that he couldn't able to control himself and immediately kissed Coraline's head just to calm himself

"That'll do then..." he softly giggled and finally closed his eyes in content, no longer bothered by the weather nor cold but enjoying by each other's company

And both got have each other's side..
