A Saturday Morning

"Oi! Move your car I'm late!"

"You're driving the wrong way!!"

"Watch it!"

     Screams of busy drivers and honking angry cars filled the early morning streets of Ashland, eventhought it was saturday people had already begun to take work and errands, some were just about to open shops and houses..

Hurried footsteps stomped across the footwalk, where usually people would walk for a stroll or even take an early jog for a start of their day..

The figure stopped, huffed in exhaustion as he lean on his body near a lampost standing by the side of the road

To his relief, his companion suddenly halt and stopped on her tracks to check on his situation

How much was her stamina again?

"Hey, you okay? We weren't even closer back at the Pink Apartment yet.." she asked, lending her palm on his crouched back from all the panting

"I know.." his voice cut short "Can we just... walk instead? I don't know how much I could take another step anymore, Jonesy..."

"We've been running for just a minute, Wybie..." Coraline implied, shaking her head "I'm taking it as a No.."

To his defeat, Wybie groaned and slumped back on the lamp post, letting the sweat trickled down on his face, Coraline on the other hand, energized just as she had woken up from her bed at five am

Was it her idea of taking an early jog? Yes...

Was she the one who pulled him out of his sweet slumber? Yes..

Tightening her messy ponytail "And besides you've been around the garage most of your life! You need this, you said it yourself yesterday too..."

But he couldn't deny that he had wanted to try it out as well

To be exact by means of hanging with Coraline that is

Even If it all it takes to struggle, HE HAS TO...

"On second thought, yeah! You're right!" He exclaimed, cheering himself again now that her prescence was there, it will be worth it by the end

Coraline smiled proudly

"Come on, you got this! I'm sure there is something that'll pump that rush of Adrenaline of yours, your Body was just getting used to it, come on! On your feet big guy, Hut hut!"

Wow...

And with that, her focus went on for taking another jog across the pavement

"You can just follow my trail, we'll go slow and steady for now..."

Ah, eventhough she could be ruthless in some situations especially towards unpleasant people..and him, if he annoys her in some cases..

Her soft side was one of the things he liked the most

As soom he had finally decided to take another jog, the pair continued across the footwalk, this time however on Coraline's promise, they had taken it slow and small steps, just enough not to tire themselves until they could be able to reach the Pink Palace

He smiled, letting the breeze brush through his skin, he could felt his mucles tense at every takens steps, and probably a sore muscles later after reaching home

But does he even care at this point?

His thoughts lingered on how greatful he was, from all the ruckus that people had been going to, he still manage to take a time break for an exercise and even had a very motivating girlfriend by his side-
