Carina's POV
Maya: car, can't find him. Station is looking for him
I just knew I'd find him. Right when I opened the doors I knew it and texted Maya right away.
He was back at our house, sitting down on the living room.
"Matt" I said softly as I walked in, closing the door after me. No answer "Matt, my love" I repeated as he lifted his head from his hands.
I walked over and sat down next to him as I tried to take the glass from his hand
"I'm fine" he said as he drank the whole glass down
"Matt" I said closing the bottle of scotch on the table "come on" I said helping him up
"Mama, don't" he said as he sat down again drunkly "can you just please" he said with cut breathings "sit down have a drink, not as my mother, not as someone who knows me. Just a drink" he said with red eyes as he poured more whiskey
I cleaned off a tear from my eye and nodded slightly
"Where you going?" He asked as I walked over to the counter
I walked back to the living room holding a wine bottle.
"Thanks" he nodded
We sat down in silence as I finished my glass of wine and closed both bottles
"Thanks" he said as he finished drinking the remaining on his glass
I cleaned off my tears as I saw his face, bruised, cut, swollen. Could barely see his eye.
"Matt, my love I need to take you back to the hospital" I said as he turned to me
"I'm not going back" he said as he tried to grab the bottle
"Matt..." I said as I grabbed it
"Please" he said "just please" he begged
"It wasn't your fault" I said as I gently placed my hand on his cheek "it was not your fault"
"Yes it was" he said "I killed him"
"He killed himself Matt" I said
"I killed him" he said as he turned to me seriously
"Matt." I began and he instantly cut me off
"Don't try saying otherwise." He said as he grabbed the bottle from my hand
"Please" I said and he turned to me and poured another glass
Same moment the door slowly opened as Maya walked in followed by a couple of our friends
"Really?" Said Matt as he looked at me "really?" He said
I turned to Maya as she had the exact same look on her face as she walked over
"Matt" said Ben as he got closer together with Jack
"Don't" he said
"Maya" I said as I turned to her with tears in my eyes and she pulled me into a hug as she pressed a kiss to my temple
"It's okay" she whispered "we found him. It's okay"
"Come on man" said Jack as he helped him up
"Let me go" said Matt as he tried to get Jack's arms off him
"Maya" I said as I looked at him and she pulled me even tighter into her embrace
"It's alright. Everything is going to be okay" she said as I hurried my head in her chest not being able to see
Andy's POV
"Jo needs to leave. She's being paged" I said as I read my messages
"Oh" said Vic who was on the wheel
"We should go over" I said and she nodded "and they're brining Matt home too" I said shocked as I read Maya's message
"They're what?!" She asked and I nodded "woah" she said
We jogged upstairs to the apartment to meet Jo who was leaving
"She's still sleeping" she said and we nodded
"Did Carina text you?" I asked and she nodded
"Thanks god he appeared" she said
We made our way inside and sat down on the leaving room waiting for both of them to come
"What do you think will happen?" Asked Vic
"What do you mean?" I asked
"I just... I don't know. They're just so young" she said
"Everything will be alright" I nodded
The door opened and Maya walked in as we got up to hug her
"What are you both doing here?" She asked
"Keeping Sophie some company" said Vic
After Maya came Jack who came in walking together with Matt
"I'm... I'm fine" he muttered
"I know. I know" said Jack as he looked at both of us as both of us sighted in relief to see him okay
"Let's get you to bed" said Jack
"Let... let me go" said Matt as they both walked over
"Come down man. It's alright" said Jack as they made their way to a room
"Where's Carina?" I asked Maya who was leaning against the doorframe
"She's. She's in the car" she said "she needed a minute. She'll be here in no time"
"And how are you doing?" I asked and she shrugged her shoulder
"doing as I can" she said and we nodded
"What can we do for you?" I asked
"It's okay. I mean, now it's okay" she said and as we talked Carina walked in
"I'm gonna go check on Sophie" she said as she walked over to the bedrooms
"How's she doing?" I asked and Maya shook her head
"Not great" she said and we nodded
"Well, he's out asleep" said Jack as he walked back
"Jack, thank you. So much" I said as he walked over to us
"Maya don't thank me." He smiled "will you be alright?" He asked and I shrugged
"We will" I said as Andy squeezed my shoulder and Jack left.
"What a night" I said a I placed my head on my hands
"Everything will be alright" nodded Andy and Carina came over
"Both of them asleep" she said as she walked over and sat next to me as I pulled her into my arms
"Thank you Andy for..." began Carina
"Carina. Don't. My house is your house" said Andy as she stood up "now. We should all get some rest" she smiled
