"i wanna get to know you"

Katie's pov:

I can't believe I just walked into him like that. He probably doesn't care but that was embarrassing. I don't really care about the popular people at school but I still don't want them to think I'm weird or something.

I was walking to the country yard because I knew most people would be inside now so I could sit there by myself when I heard someone.

"Hey wait up."

I turned around and saw Cedric jogging to me.

"Damn you walk fast."

"Oh sorry." I awkwardly laughed.

"I was just thinking, I haven't seen you around much, you should come to the party in the common room tonight."

"No I don't think so. I don't really know these people."

"How long have you been to this school?"

"Since first year but after a few years I just stopped to socialise."

"Why?"

"I don't know, everyone is just so fake, I don't have time for that."

"Yeah I agree, people only care about popularity." You're one of them. Stop Katie he might be nice.

"Yeah, well I should get going."

"Please consider coming. I wanna get to know you."

"Do you even know my name?"

"That's a part of getting to know each other."

I chuckled.

"We'll see, it's in my common room after all."

"You're in Hufflepuff?"

"Small world isn't it? Bye Cedric."

"Bye darling." He said as I turned around and continued to walk, ignoring the blush on my cheeks.

I didn't want to be fooled by this again. One time is enough.
