Raising Sailor

First day of Hell!

**A few months later **
August 31st.
*The day before everyone goes back to school.*

I was so excited!
Tomorrow was my first day of school!
Real school!
Big girl school!
Not silly daycare, real school, where you learn stuff.

I had my new princess bag ready for tomorrow with all my copies, new water bottle, pencil case everything!
I had everything I needed.

But it seemed I was the only one excited for school.

Hayden Levi and Austin were dreading tomorrow.
They had everything ready but they weren't in the slightest excited.

We all sat down at the sofa talking about tomorrow.

"I hope you said your goodbyes to the best part of your life, because it all ends tomorrow!" Stated Levi.

"Don't say that, school is fun, really fun! You make friends, learn lots, it will be great!" Smiled Hayden.
"What if no one likes me?"
"I don't think that's possible!" Said Hayden tickling me.
"You'd be surprised..." mumbled Levi.
My giggling snapped Austin out of a daydream.
"I am going to have to see Ashley!' Sighed Austin.
Ashley was the girl he went out with a few months ago, the girl that he went to sneakily see when Hayden brought us to the playground a month ago.
Things didn't work out between them.
I was slightly disappointed, I wanted to meet a girl for once.
I was sick of boys!
But maybe I'll meet some girls in school?

"Will I be there for long?"
"Yep! You'll hate it !" Answered Levi.
"Levi just because you hate school doesn't mean everyone else has to!" Said Cameron
"What would you know, your not even in school!"
"I am finished school, I know everything about it"
"You will only be there for a couple of hours!" Replied Hayden.

Cameron made me get into bed extra early because I would have to get up early tomorrow.
I found it hard to sleep.
I was too excited and nervous.
But I eventually dozed off...

The next morning I woke up to Levi shaking me.
"Wake up!"
I rub my eyes and finally remember it was my first day of school!
I hop out of bed.
Levi has never looked more miserable, and that's saying a lot.

I go downstairs and immediately got picked up by Hayden.
"It's your first day of school! Are you excited?"
"Yep!"
"Good! Here have some breakfast then go upstairs and put on your clothes I set out for you!"
"I will!"

I quickly ate my breakfast.
I ran upstairs and got dressed into a pink skirt and white t-shirt with pink flowers.
I loved it.

I got my school bag and put on my frilly white socks and runners.
Then Cameron done my hair in two pigtails and I was finally ready.

Cameron had to leave first for work.
I gave him the biggest hug ever.
"Have a great day! Austin is going to drive you to school and Levi will bring you in okay?"
"Okay! Have a good day at work!"
"I will!" He smiled and walked out.
He had to leave early to go to work.
I was sad he couldn't bring me.

Soon we left.
Austin drove us all to school .
He parked outside the school. All of the schools were in the same area.
"Levi is going to walk you to your school, you will be a bit early but me and Hayden have to be in school earlier then you ."
"Okay!"

We got out of the car and Hayden and Austin hugged us not before going to their own school.
Now it was just me and Levi.

Levi walked me to the gate.
There were lots of parent around with their kids.
Some parents were crying, which I didn't understand because they would see their kid again in a few hours.
Then there were some parents taking hundreds of pictures of their kids.
Then some were hugging and kissing their kids.
I couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous.
I wanted a mother to do the same to me.
Hug me
Kiss me.
Take hundreds of photos of me.
Cry over me.
But instead I had Levi...

"Are you excited for your first day of hell?" He asked bending down to my level.

Maybe school was that bad after all.....
Maybe that's why parents were crying?
Maybe I would hate school...?

"I don't want to go to school anymore!" I cried hugging onto him.
"No, no don't cry, that was a joke! You are going to love school! Please don't cry Sailor! School is going to be so much fun, I lied, I love school! It's great, it's not like hell at all!" Levi panicked .
"I want to stay with you!" I sobbed.
"Hey it's okay, you will see me soon okay? We go to school in the same building so if you need me you can just tell your teacher!" He said softly.
"Okay..." I replied finally letting go of him.
He wiped my tears with his sleeves.
"There you look perfect! I think everyone is going in now, you'll do great!"
He gave me one last hug and then I ran up and joined the others.

It was finally time to go inside...
