It was the noise of the front door opening that woke me up.
Then the footsteps of the mystery person walking up the stairs.
Then the bathroom light turned on.
Shining into my bedroom.
My door was wide open and the bathroom was across from my bedroom.

Then I heard someone curse and a few things fall.
Who was there?

Did somebody break in?
Do I hide?
Do I close my door?

But suddenly I heard a familiar voice.

"Where the hell is it?" They mumbled.
I heard some things moving around and failing followed by more cursing.

It was Ace.

Why was he only coming home now?
What was he looking for?

Looks like I was about to find out.

I hopped out of my bed and tip-toed over to the bathroom.

Ace was standing there washing his hands.
"What are you looking for?" I asked.

He jumped, and turned to me.

He flicked water at me, "quick get me a towel!"

I got a towel from the shelf and then handed it to him.
"Do you only have white towels?" He asked in a whisper.
I nodded my head.
"Shit! This will just have to do."

He began to dry his hands, but then I noticed red starting to stain the towel.
Then I noticed the water in the sink was red and so was the water dripping off his hands.

"Ace..?"
"What?"
"Are you bleeding?" I asked terrified.
"No"
"Then why do your hands have blood on them?"
"Well, it's not my blood!"

Just as I was about to ask who's blood was it he threw the now red towel over to me.
"Throw that in the bin and get me a new towel quick!"
I quickly dumbed the other towel in the bin and got him a new one.

Ace finally cleaned his hands.

"Where do you keep your bandages?" He asked.
"Uhh..."
I had seen we had bandages before but I forgot where we kept them.
"Quick!"
"I don't know!"
"Of course you don't!" He mumbled.

He then tied a towel around his arm not before opening the cupboard over our sink desperately looking for bandages, knocking everything over.

When he couldn't find them in the bathroom he then went downstairs, but when he turned around I seen his arm.
It was cut open and bleeding a lot.
The towel he had wrapped around his arm to try stop the bleeding was now a deep red colour.
I gasped when I seen his arm.
"What happened?" I asked running down the stairs after him.
"Be quite!"

He ran to our cupboard that was under our sink.
Once again he shuffled through it, only using the torch in his phone to see.
Thankfully he found the bandages!

"Shine that torch at my arm!"
I took the phone and pointed it at him arm.
He took the towel off to reveal a huge gash going up his arm.
It was still bleeding.
I scrunched up my nose in disgust when I seen his arm.

Then I started to tear up.
"Are you okay?"
"Just be quite and keep shining it at my arm!"

He wrapped the bandage around his arm twice and tied it at the end.
As I watched him tears ran down my cheeks.
Helpless, knowing I couldn't stop his pain.

I gave the phone back to him.
He shone it at my face making me close my eyes.

I think he realised how scared and worried I looked as he said "sorry! I know this is confusing but I am okay! I just need to sit down, I feel a bit dizzy!"
"Do you want water?" I asked.
"Yes, please!"

I ran and got a stepping stool stood up and filled him a glass of water.
"Thanks! You should probably go back to bed!"
"Will I get Cameron?"
"NO! I mean, no!
"What happened?"
"Nothing, it was nothing!"
"Did you fall?"
"No!"
"Did you cut yourself on something sharp?"
"No, not really, just go to bed!"
"Do you need to go to the hospital"
"No I'll be fine by tomorrow morning!"
"Okay.....did it stop bleeding?"
"Not yet, but it will, now go!"

"Goodnight!"
"Night.."

Ace's POV:

One hour earlier...

I had snuck out of the house.
I needed to get out.
So I left at 2:00am.

I just roamed around the streets, the beach, everywhere, with no intention of going anywhere.

But of course I met some dickhead along the way.
We had a heated argument, I could tell the man was drunk, slurring his words, stumbling and of course the real giveaway, the bottle of alcohol in his hand.

Well a heated argument turned into a fight, which ended in him smashing the bottle and cutting my arm open with it.

I had blood gushing out of my arm and blood all over my hands.
Except the blood on my hands was his blood.

I would like to say this time I 'won' until I got cut open.

I stumbled into the house accidentally slamming the door behind me.
I hopped I didn't wake anyone up.

I quickly creeped up the stairs and turned the bathroom light on.

I needed to wash this blood off my hands.
But where was the towels?
Shit!
I looked around knocking things off shelves and onto the ground but I then just thought I better try get the blood off my hands before looking for a towel.

I began to wash the blood off, but it was hard with my arm.
I watched as the water went from clear to deep blood red, I was so fascinated by it I didn't realise Sailor was standing in the doorway.
I only realised when I heard the tired small voice of the little girl asking "what are you looking for?" . I didn't realise I was being that loud.

Remembering the situation I was in I flicked water at her face to hopefully wake up.
I watched as she flinched but slightly looked more alive.
I wanted to laugh but quickly remembered my arm was still bleeding.
Thankfully Sailor didn't see my arm, yet...

"Quick, get me a towel!"

She quickly turned and got a white towel off a shelf by the door.
How could I be so blind?
Then I seen it was a white towel.
Shit!
I can't stain their towels with some random mans blood.

"Do you only have white towels?" I asked.
She nodded her head still half asleep.

God why does the five year old have to be the one to try help me?

She handed me the towel.
"Shit! This will just have to do!"
I rinsed my hands with water and dried them with the towel.
It quickly went from white to red.
My arm stung and I could feel myself loosing lots of blood.

Ace..?" She asked.
"What?" I replied in a panic.
"Are you bleeding?"
"No" I said not even glancing over at her. I was too concentrated on getting his blood off my hands so she doesn't think I just murder someone .

"Then why do your hands have blood on them?"
"Well, it's not my blood!" I vaguely replied.

Soon the whole towel was drenched in blood, but it was off my hands now I just had to try heal my arm.

I threw the towel at her.
"Throw that in the bin and get me a new towel quick!"
Surprisingly she caught it.
I wanted to congratulate on her catch but then I remembered I was most likely going to die form loss of blood if I wasted anymore time.

After a stressful few minutes that felt like hours I had got banged up and nearly scared Sailor to death while doing so, I was quite tired and Sailor had gone back up to bed.
I knew I should have went to the hospital but Cameron would probably kick me out if he found out I got into another fight.

As I sat downstairs I started to feel really weak and dizzy...

I knew I shouldn't but I fell asleep.....
