Treasures in the Attic

A chest, a broom.

A hat rack and a pontoon.

The cardboard boxes piled high,

The dusty air reaching towards the sky.

The creaky floorboards,

The plaque of the Lord.

There are treasures in the attic,

Just take the time to see...

The chest is now a pirates keepsake,

The broom was once owned by a wicked witch.

The hat rack sat in the Queen of England's royal palace,

The pontoon rested in a musky run down saloon.

The cardboard boxes can be built into a grand castle,

The dusty air reached from one corner of the earth, to the other.

The creaky floor boards, made from a single tree in the Amazon, still proudly rests,

And the plaque of the Lord hung proudly and graciously in a nearby Cathedral.

Close your eyes and imagine.

There are treasures in the attic.

Close your eyes and see.
