Sand Castles to a Broken Heart

She laughs as I laugh.

She cries when I do.

We go through everything together.

We build sand castles together...

Then we destroy them!

We swing together...

And see who can jump the furthest off!

We bake cookies with our moms together...

And eat the dough when they aren't looking!

We bike across town together...

Just to buy slurpies on a hot summer day!

We color together...

Though, she always takes the good crayons.

We laugh at each other when we make a mistake...

And we both know that we aren't trying to hurt each others feelings!

We catch bugs together...

Though she doesn't like grasshoppers, they scare her!

Then we became teenagers.

And I can't tell her I love her.

Because she loves somebody else.
