Melodic

Your fingers glide over the piano keys

Gently touching each one gingerly

Pressing the correct notes to make a lovely sound

Then you pause and scribble something onto your paper

You are writing a song

A beautiful melody

So simple yet

It hooked my attention

You hum softly to yourself

The words to your masterpiece

You pause a bit more

Writing down the notes and lyrics

To you it may not sound like a masterpiece

But to the silent person sitting here

just listening in peaceful content

It’s beautiful.

I yearn for your attention,

And listening to the notes as you play seep into my soul

Creating a more peaceful surrounding,

Also

If this is how you want to express yourself

That’s fine with me.

Just don’t stop playing

You have me hooked

To that sweet melody

The amazing serenade.
