Pov: Percy Jackson
When I woke up, I was in what looked like a hospital. There was steady beeping all surrounding me, which was very annoying. I was lightheaded and dizzy, but I wasn't on the floor of a graveyard anymore which is... good. But I've been in hospitals before- they always change you into some ugly uniform. In here- I was in just my jeans. I made sure that Riptide, or Anaklumos if you want to be fancy like that, was in my pockets. Isn't that a spell from the Harry Potter book series? Lumos? Like isn't that a light one or something?
Anway's-getting of track here. ADHD tends to do that to you. But where was I? Right 'hospital'. So, I was shirtless. In just my jeans. Riptide (yes, I'm not being fancy, you can deal with it) was in my pocket and I sat up. When my vision fully cleared, I looked around the hospital-like room.
On the equipment, it read Rksat Dnsustriie, or at least that's what it had looked like to me. It's probably something so simple- but dyslexia, so. I looked down at my bare chest and up and down my arms to see that my wounds from the battle had been nicely patched. Good, I wanted to leave that life behind. I tried to get up- but then remembered seeing several IVs attacked to me. I ripped them off and put on my shirt, which lay on a chair beside me.
I walked outside the room, (which just made me feel even more dizzy, my legs could barely support my body) my hand on the pocket where Riptide was held. I saw an empty living room with a huge TV. I was tempted to see what the news had come up with to mask our fight with Gaea, I'll admit; but that was before I noticed a man, eating Pop-Tarts in the next room over. He delivered a certain presence- almost godly. That's when I realized the length of hair that this man had, and the color it gave.
"T-thor?"
The god turned towards me, a half-eaten Pop-Tart in his hand.
"Percy!"
I was about to collapse, and I probably looked it to by the way that he ran over to me, ditching his snack. He caught me and gently helped me down to the ground. I hate feeling weak, I hate feeling helpless, and most of all- I hate pity. At the moment I had all three. I held my middle and index finger between my eyes, as if that would make the headache go away.
"What are you doing here, aren't you supposed to be over at that camp of yours?"
"I-I don't know how I got here."
"Well, what's the last thing that you can recall?"
I looked deep into my memory, and the last thing that I could remember before being here was when I was at the graveyard.
"I was a-at the graveyard."
"Why? What happened?"
I looked at the god, tears flooding my eyes. I held him in my arms, as hard as I could with little strength I had left.
"Leo, Hazel, Jason, Frank, Piper, Nico, Annabeth, Grover, Mom, Paul, Thalia, Reyna, they've all gone, Thor. And it's all my fault."
"How do you figure that?"
"All of my camp friends died, trying to save me, Thor. Jason, died taking a spear. Nico, ran in front of me so that a club wouldn't hit me. Hazel, over used her powers to build a wall to protect me! Annabeth..."
I couldn't finish.
"That's not your fault, Percy. Not your fault at all. Those heroes knew the sacrifice they were making the second that they chose to make it. That has nothing to do with you, understand?"
I dully nodded, but I didn't understand. I knew what had happened-I was there. I saw all of my friends, and my girlfriend, die right in front of my eyes.
Thor was about to say something when a man with a goatee and sunglasses walked in.
"Uh, Pointbreak? Care to explain why our guest is over here and why there are Pop-Tarts all over the floor?
