Louis's POV:

The next day after school I find myself sitting on the cold concrete steps outside my school's entrance, waiting for one of the boys to come and get me.

This morning they had told me for the time being they would be dropping me off and picking me up which they actually typically do, yesterday was a not so common experience which I don't see happening again in the near future.

But classes ended nearly twenty minutes ago and neither of them are anywhere to be found.

My phone dings, making me jump at the sudden noise at first, before blushing at myself in embarrassment and pulling my phone out of my pocket.

Edward: Sorry Lou, running a couple minutes late. Be there soon, stay inside please it's getting chilly out.

I send back a quick okay before sliding my phone back into my pocket. I lean back onto the steps, relaxing a bit, discarding the go inside part of the message.

I had the world's longest day. I had three different big tests and to put it lightly, I don't test well. Not to mention I slept like utter crap last night, I think taking a four hour nap before going to bed didn't exactly help.

"Tomlinson. Thought that was you." A voice rings in my ears, I turn to see the presence.

Oh goodness, Chris. Not to be rude but I don't exactly adore him.

Freshman year he asked me out on a date and thankfully when I had asked the boys if I could they said no, I needed an excuse to say no anyways. I knew I liked boys at that point but just I really had no interest in him and I needed a way to let him down easy without hurting his feelings.

Which I honestly still feel quite guilty about.

But he started bothering me once I had told him no, I don't exactly understand him, there will be minutes where he acts like he is in love with me and moments where he literally will tell me he wants to kill me.

I am not quite sure which Chris I am dealing with currently, though I would prefer neither. I don't want to be rude, I just really don't like the man.

"Hi Chris." I say trying to be polite as I just keep my head down and hope he will go away.

"How come you are still here? I wouldn't think those big brothers of yours would ever let you be here alone." He says, weirding me out a bit.

"They are just a bit late." I say, trying not to show the boy I was uncomfortable just from him being here.

My eyes widen when I feel him place his hand over mine, which was presses against the steps.

I am quick to pull my hand out from under his.

"Chris." I say, hoping that's enough for him to get the memo.

"C'mon Louis, your brothers are bound to let you go out with me now. You are 16 for Christ's sake, they aren't your fucking parents either." He says and I flinch at his unnecessary word.

I frown and turn my head fully away from him, he knows nothing about me and has no place commenting on my family dynamic.

But I don't find the courage within myself to say anything about that.
