Forbidden Love

chapter 18: the secret has fallen.

James gets up quickly and sees Aystria has fallen. So he goes to the edge to see if she is okay.

"Oh shit oh no." James says and he hurries off the roof and he runs to the lake where Aystria fell but nothing….she just disappeared how??? Wait. Why is he asking that when she has magic? 

"James is everything alright?" Andrew asked suddenly and James looks at him.

"No I had Aystria and she jumped!" James says and Andrew has wide eyes."right off the roof."

"Is she okay?" he asked his James shruggs. "jeez what a way to go." 

"That's the thing I ran down here and there is no sign of her." James says and Andrew looks confused as they continue to look at the lake. 

"Well she does have magic." He says and James nods in agreement. She probably teleported in mid air. 

"Let's go, I have to tell the King something." James says and they walk away.

Gulping for air Aystria is now out of the lake, cold and wet and exhausted from the Invasion. Looks like she swam all the way to the dark Forest. 

She gets out of the lake and starts walking inside away from the Heroes. hopefully praying she can find her people.

"My king….. Our kingdom has fallen, we've failed,.....I've failed." Skylar says and the King looks at his kingdom in the forrest as it is burned and destroyed. Then he looks at Skylar.

"My child you have not failed. I have failed you. Two of my daughters are dead and the other one is missing." He says and Skylar looks down. Debating if she should say something or not to the King about Aystria. 

"My lord, Aystria……." Skylar trails she doesn't want to have Aystria hate her for the rest of her life. But……she has to tell him. 

"What is it my child?" He asked sincerely then tears started to form in Skylar's eyes not wanting to say this but she had to. 

"Aystria Vervain has betrayed us. My lord, she has disobeyed your rules. My King,.... she's fallen in love with a hero." Skylar says and the king just looks at Skylar then he turns away. Something seems scary about his expression. It's calm but cruel at the same time. 

"We must find her, get my remaining guards and I need a pen and parchment." The Dark King tells Skylar who tilts her head.

"Why my lord?" Skylar asked as they walked into the dark Forest. 

"Because I'm going to write to the Light King." He says and Skylar looks at him nodding.

James just walked into the Light castle and is making his way to the great Hall to meet the King. He walks through the doors and the King is sitting there reading a note.

"My lord." He bows and the king holds his hand up as he finishes reading then the King has a surprised expression and he gets up handing the paper to James. 

"Read." Is all the king says and James does. Then as James finishes he looks up at the king and the king looks at him. "Is this true?" 

"I'm afraid so my lord. Your son has fallen in love with a villain." James says and they both look down and the Light King walks out of the throne room towards the Prince's bedroom.
