chapter twenty two- waiting

Ashes/pov

I glanced over at Delilah embarrassingly I quickly took the pillow from behind her and smelt it she was right I explained awkwardly

'I can explain'

Delilah kept staring at me with her hand over her mouth she then questioned

'did you sleep with someone'

I panicked while saying

'no no I just bought some cologne for myself I promise you I didn't sleep with anyone'

I was breathing slowly as Delilah smiled at me she then added

'oh ok'

After an hour of hanging out with Delilah Delilah looked over at me and asked politely

'hey you should come over to my place on wednesday evening my family wanted to invite you for dinner because I've told them about you and they really want to see you is that ok with you'

I responded with excitedly

'sure is anyone else coming to dinner on Wednesday'

delilah stood up while grabbing her bag and saying

'I've also invited Harry and Peter if that's ok with you'

I wanted to say no but I didn't want to upset delilah I haven't spoke to Peter for a couple of weeks and it would be so awkward to see him again I then added

'sure sure I'll be ok with that'

Me and delilah both headed downstairs to the front door as delilah opened the door she exclaimed while walking slowly away from the house

'see you wednesday'

I slowly closed the door behind me as I began to get ready to help out aunt may I rushed back upstairs to grab my phone and earphones then ran back downstairs to put on my clear white sneakers I put some music on as I left the house as I began to walk down the cold and misty Streets after a few minutes of walking I saw spiderman swinging around the city I shouted as my voice echoed through the streets

'HEY SPIDERMAN'

I waved my arms around like a bloody lunatic as he swung to my direction he quickly leeped down and panted heavily while saying

'oh hey ash where are you off to'

I explained miserably

'well I'm going to aunt may's because I used to have a friend called Peter but then I decided not to be friends with him he just kept disappearing so that's why I'm going to help her with housework and all that'

spiderman put a arm on my shoulders which made me blush lightly as we continued walking spiderman commented sweetly

'that's nice of you'

We both continued walking until we reached aunt may's house I stood there with spiderman for a second then walked up to the front door saying

'I've gotta go now catch you later'

I knocked lightly on the door then aunt may opened it while exclaiming happily

'hey ash come in'

I entered the house silently as I sat down at the kitchen table I was still blushing lightly as aunt may asked as she made her way over to the kettle

'so how have you been'

She sipped some warm tea as I explained excitedly

'I've been alright I'm really happy at the moment I might have a boyfriend'

aunt may gasped loudly her eyes wide open as she smiled from ear to ear she hugged me tightly while saying happily

'that's nice dear who is he'

My brain was panicking while I didn't want to say anything she'd freak out otherwise but I knew somebody was going to find out eventually I whispered

'ok but promise me you won't tell anyone'

Aunt may commented while reassuring me

'I promise darling now who is it'

I exhaled to calm myself down before stuttering

'S-Spiderman'

She then gasped purely shocked She looked me straight in the eyes and whispered

'wait so your that girl on the news you're the one who kissed spiderman'

I nodded my head quickly aunt may then continued

'your really lucky I promise I'll keep it a secret from everyone'

I sighed in relief before saying

'Its getting late I have to go now see you later'

Once I was home I didn't bother eating dinner I just headed straight upstairs to my room I quickly turned off the light and laid down on my cold bed I prayed to myself that the green goblin wouldn't come back for me he'd probably kill me if he had the chance I was hoping spiderman would protect me as much as possible I wanted to see him again I felt so desperate I just wanted him by my side so I went out onto my balcony I carefully leaned on the railing and began waiting as the cold wind was blowing my hair roughly and giving me goosebumps I closed my eyes for a few minutes before saying to myself quietly

'I want you to come back to me spiderman I'm scared if this green goblin will take me away I just want to hear your voice again'

Suddenly I saw his head pop up from under the balcony as his deep voice startle me from my daydream

'what did you say'

I chuckled

'are you always under my balcony'

spiderman then clambered onto the balcony as I carefully pulled his mask up just to see his soft baby pink lips I held onto his muscler shoulder while saying excitedly

'come here spidey'

I leaned in and immediately kissed him I pulled away a few seconds later as I  grabbing his hand leading him to my bed spiderman then whispered while laughing

'why are you doing this I love this you'

I then added while laughing quietly

'I miss you I hope our love lasts forever'
