Sunlight flashed over the mountain straight into Y/N's face. She groaned as she woke up from her rest. She sat up to Urokodaki walking into the room, yelling "Get up Tanjiro, Y/N it's time to train." Y/N leaped up in excitement, it was finally time to begin training. "Each day you both will start with a run-up and down the mountain, followed by 2000 sword swings each, then we will practice breathing so you can start to master water breathing." Tanjiro gasped out loud at the realization of the task to come. "That makes me even more fired up, I can't wait to begin." Y/N said, drawing the attention of the others in the room, "When do we start?" "Now," Urokodaki replied, kicking them both out of the cabin.

"Now, two thousand swings, grab the swords out of their sheaths," Urokodaki instructed the panting Tanjiro and the bouncing Y/N. "How *pant* do you still have so much energy," Tanjiro questioned in disbelief. "I don't know. I feel like I could run up and down that mountain ten times." Y/N replied, grabbing the katana, and unsheathing it. "Enough chit-chat, get to swinging." Urokodaki interrupted the two demon slayers in training. "Alright! ... 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... 5 ... 6 ..." Y/N started straight away, brushing away any thoughts of hesitation. "Ok, let me just grab my breath and I-" Tanjiro was interrupted by Urokodaki yelling, "No time for breaks, do you think a demon will give you a chance to breathe?" "N-No sensei," Tanjiro replied starting to swing the katana. "... 10 ... 11 ... 12 ... 13 ... 14 ... 15 ..." Y/N continued.

Time skips 3 months of this training

"You both are ready to start your breathing techniques, become one with the water," Urokodaki shouted, Tanjiro and Y/N tried to breathe flowingly like the water. Tanjiro's sword began making water droplets, while Y/N's sword flickered and started to darken with orange tendrils appearing out of the tip of the katana. "W-What... It's not water? But I did all of the training for water breathing..." Y/N's eyes suddenly burned white, alerting the others when she screamed.

Y/N's mindscape:

"Where am I?" Y/N questioned looking around at the dark space with a full moon hanging over the space. "You are in your mind, my child," Y/N turned around gasping at what she saw. She saw a beautiful woman, dressed in a shifting black and orange kimono, the same colors forming tendrils coming out of the woman's back. "Who are you?" Y/N questioned, "I am your version of my true form, for some, I appear as a featureless mass of tentacles and blood, whereas others see me as the most handsome man they have ever seen. I wonder what you see me as?" The mysterious woman replied, "I see a beautiful woman, dressed in a shifting black and orange kimono, the same colors forming tendrils coming out of your back." Y/N replied earning a surprised gasp from the women, "You are the first to see my true form, you were chosen. My name is Entity, but you can call me Ren Sylver." (Yes, Y/N takes the Entity's name for some of her missions). "I brought you here to tell you about your breathing form, if you try to use water breathing it may harm your lungs forever." Ren informed Y/N, "What is my breathing form then?" "It is unique and can only be used if the user is chosen, like yourself. It is called killer breathing." "Killer breathing? What are the forms?" Y/N questioned Ren, "I will tell you what the forms are and what they do:

"Killer breathing first form: Bell Wraith:

This breathing form makes the user temporarily invisible to all senses, the only warning for this form is the sound of a bell sounding twice before the user disappears. This form is hard to hold once injured as it requires a lot of focus. This form can only be stopped by a high reaction time."

"That seems powerful," Y/N exclaimed, Ren laughingly said "That's only the first form and the weakest.

"Killer breathing second form: Trapped:
