Jim was starting to work at his internship at the City Hall, the city council woman a.k.a. Clares mother give him the position of working with her as A gopher. which essentially meant we got her a coffee and helped her out with the paperwork.
He didn't mind the job gave him a perfect Opportunities to check and make sure everyone in the town government wants to they say they were. Every chance he got he checked everyone with streak using his small tentacles to tap into their mind and decision that he instantly regretted finding out peoples dark secrets but so far none of them were changelings although he Felt the need to possibly tell some people about the dark thoughts that their coworkers had about each other
So with suspicion is (somewhat) cleared the troll hunter went back to work for his internship working throughout the day Helping the council woman With her day-to-day work. Two of which the two of them got to know each other a little better which Jim thought was really good brownie points when it came to getting Chloe's parents to like him
Streak however had a different opinion: she likes you
Jim responded to him telepathically: Do you really think so... I mean of course I'm a charming young man and I need to get along with her if I want to end up with Claire
Streak clarified: I know she likes likes you I can practically feel her intentions
Jim stumbled at what his symbiont friend was implying: hold on! There is no way she has any.... Thoughts like that! First of all she's married
Streak responded with a casual demeanour: not every marriage is happy maybe she's not happy with her marriage. Secondly she is the council woman
Jim argued: okay. Streak first of all if that was even true that doesn't mean she wants to have a relationship with the guy that wants to be her daughter's boyfriend
streak: i'm just saying she's got a look in her eyes look that says "I want you" I see it in Claire, Mary and Darcy every day when they look at you even Nari and Namora give you the same look but you just don't see it
Jim wanted to scream at his Symbiote but he was called was called back to reality by his new boss Ophelia: Jim are you okay?
Jim: oh I'm fine just lost in thought, man I did not know that being in council that would mean this much paperwork
Ophelia laughed: well it is running for the security of the town nothing about this should be easy especially with the most recent events
Jim recalled some things which he was mostly responsible for: oh do you mean like the break-in at the bank and the museum
The counter woman continued her paperwork and she explained: yes exactly I mean it doesn't make any sense who rob the bank and leaves a diamond worth more than the amount of money they took then breaks into the museum and takes a couple of things only to give back the next day
Jim laughed nervously: I don't know maybe it's just the worlds most stupidest robber or possibly for the bank anyway he wanted to sell in diamond/crystal that he had but he didn't want people to know he had it so he rob the bank then left it there as a way of payment I mean you have sold it haven't you
Ophelia answered: yes of course and our town has brought in a lot of profit because of that in fact we are able to finish some stuff we need been trying to start for years it just nags on me that someone managed to break into the bank and not even leave a fingerprint or seen by any cameras
Jim in his head: well partly because the Robert was at least a foot tall and can run really fast
Ophelia: it's getting quite late Jim don't you want to go home
