Backstory: Madelaine was an average high school student who enjoyed helping others and spending time with her friends Mia and Light. She is a music lover and talented at playing the guitar. She was an incredible singer as well. When Light found the death note she was suspicious of it and thought that Light should get rid of it. But once she found out he used it and it was real she got scared and asked Light to get rid of it so he didn't hurt anyone. Then Ryuk appeared to her as he had secretly been spying on her and was interested in her. Madelaine begged Ryuk to stop what he was doing and he agreed on one condition that she'd become his forever. At first Madelaine refused but upon seeing no other choice she agrees to it hoping it would keep her friends safe.
