When Madelaine was 11 her mom passed away and the other maids took care of her and taught her.Madelaine began serving for the queen who treated her kindly.When Snow White was born Madelaine took great care of the little princess and spent time with her whenever she could. When the queen passed away Madelaine promised her that she would protect Snow White and look after her. When Ravenna came and married the king she thought that Ravenna would be a good stepmother to Snow White and was unaware of her true nature. After Ravenna took over Madelaine was made to serve her however Ravenna wasn't cruel to her and was very gentle with her. Madelaine did not know that Ravenna had actually fallen in love with her and planned on making her queen with her.
