Sadie's POV
After countless hours of twisting and turning trying to fall asleep, I dozed off only to be awoken quickly by the sun.
I was about to sit up and get out of bed, but I heard a knock on the door. "Wake up, Sadie. We've got a big day."
It was Claire. "Give me a second." I said, rubbing my eyes. I pushed my greasy hair out of my face and sighed. I still had a chance to stop all this.
I got a goods night sleep and now I can think rationally.
But, God, I still wanted to make mom and dad angry.
I left the room and went into the kitchen. I saw a bunch of stuff on the counter that I assumed was for me.
"Tyler will be back in a few. You sure you still wanna go through with this?" Nevaeh asked.
"Yes." I said, still trying to seem more confident than I actually was.
The door opened and he walked through the door. "I'm back. Ready?"
"Yeah, she's ready." Nevaeh said with a grin.
"Alright. Let's do this."
He grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the bathroom. I took one last look at my honey blonde hair that reminded me of Soda's as he started putting this purple stuff on it.
Within ten minutes he had covered my whole head. I frowned as my long caramel hair was gone.
"Wash this out in twenty minutes. I'll be back."
"Alright." I muttered.
"Regrets?" Claire asked.
"Nope." I said with a grin. I was lying right through my smile.
"Awesome." Nevaeh said with a grin.
We sat around for twenty minutes and the kitchen timer went off. "Put your head over the sink and rinse it out." Claire said taking a drink out of her sacked bottle.
I didn't understand how she could drink so early in the morning. Then again, I didn't really understand how anyone could drink at all.
If only I knew.
I poured the cold water over my hair and watched as the purple stained water poured out. I got it all out and
I scrunched my hair up to dry it and I looked in the mirror. Holy fuck it was purple.
"I got y'all some more drinks." Tyler said opening the door.
"Haha! You rock!" Claire said.
"You washed the purple! Awesome. Now lay down." He said pointing to the couch.
"Why?"
"You want a piercing or not?" He asked.
"Oh." I muttered.
I laid down and he grabbed the largest needle I've ever seen. My eyes widened. "Alright. I'm just gonna stick this in your nose and you're gonna put this in." He said handing me a fake diamond.
"Ok..." I mumbled.
He cleaned the edge and he put it near my nose. I don't know why I expected a countdown, but one second it was barely pressed again my nose and the next there was a sharp pain in my nostril.
I let out a scream and put my hand to my nose. I saw blood on my hands. Tyler put a tissue on my face and I pressed it on my nose before I put the stud in.
"Ouch." Nevaeh said.
I rolled my eyes at her lack of sympathy for my pain. I went to the mirror and put it in, but I was way too distracted by my hair.
I sighed as I managed to get it in my nose. I let out a groan as I put the tissue back over my nose to stop the bleeding.
I sat on the couch between all the drunk kids and kept trying to stop the blood pouring from my nose, which I didn't think was supposed to happen. Eventually my hair dried and I went to the bathroom. I started crying.
What did I do?
Why did I do this to myself?
How did I let this happen?
I regretted it instantly. As soon as that dye touched my head I should have put a stop to this.
But I didn't. And what's done is done. I wiped the tears off my face and eventually the bleeding stopped and all you could see was the small blood stains around the hole.
"Sadie! Get out here!" Claire yelled.
"Coming!" I said, quickly.
"Whatcha doing in there?" Nevaeh asked. It was obvious she was on some type of drug by the way her words were slurred. I felt bad that she was so young and she was like this.
"I was cleaning the blood off my nose. See? It stopped." I said trying to grin.
"Mhmm. Sit down." She continued. I did as she said. "Here." She said handing me a cigarette.
"I don't smoke." I said, quickly realizing my mistake.
Claire looked at me in disgust. "You do now. So pop the thing in your mouth and smoke like every other normal person does."
I looked at the cigarette and took it out of Nevaeh's hand. She handed me a match box and I put the flame on it.
I took a moment before I put the cigarette in my mouth. I coughed as I realized I didn't even know how to smoke.
"Don't suck it in. Blow it out." Claire said.
"Ok..." I said, still catching my breath.
I tried it again and I still coughed a bit, but it wasn't as big of a shock as it was the first time.
"We're gonna have fun tonight, Sadie. Tyler's gonna bring us a bunch of stuff. And my parents won't be home for another week."
"When am I gonna go see my family?" I asked.
"You wanna see them?" Nevaeh asked.
"No, but I want them to know about my purple hair and piercing." I said, quickly regretting that choice of words. I meant my brothers, not really my parents, but obviously they wouldn't understand that.
"Oh, gotcha. How about now? I'll get ya all dolled up, to my liking of course, and then we'll head on over there and we can come back here after." Nevaeh said with a grin.
"Sounds great to me." I said.
Claire chimed in. "Perfect. Come on, I've got the makeup in my bedroom."
