Violet

I never thought I'd be sitting here in a VIP section of a club, with a handsome man whose name I still do not know.
I don't know why I'm feeling so nervous, This is my fourth time seeing him. For some reason I can't shake the butterflies in my stomach. Maybe it's because we're no longer in a professional setting. It was easier to just be cordial with him at my job, but now I actually have to speak to him, not just take his order.

"How have you been since the last time I've seen you?" He asks sitting very close to me to where I could hear him over the music with no problem.
"I've been good, what about you?" It's only been about 9 hours since I saw him so not much has changed.

"Well, I've been thinking about that date you said you'd think about. Do you have an answer now?" He asks looking into my eyes. Eye contact is so awkward but I feel like I can't look away.
I knew he'd bring that up eventually. I was thinking about my answer as well. He seems like a respectful man so maybe one date wouldn't hurt, I'm sure I'll find out his true intentions then.
"If I was to say yes, where would you take me?" I asked.
"Vassilenas." He said and my eyes widen a little. That's literally a 5 star restaurant. I see it every time Aria and I go shopping downtown. They also have a rooftop dining area. It the kind of restaurant you have to make reservations for.
"Fancy."
"So is that a yes?" He asked smiling at me. I try not to take a big whiff of his cologne. What in the world did they put in there? It smelled very good.

"Hmm, yes." I nodded. Why not?

"Perfect, you want to know something I just realized?" He asked with that wonderful accent. I nod for him to continue. "I never got your name." He said. Oh so now he wants my name.
"You never asked." I said with a smile. He scoffs lightly and put his arm around the back of the couch where I was sitting. Why did he have to sit so close I can't even think straight.

"Well I'm asking now." He told me.
"Violet." I tell him. He takes my hand and placed a light kiss on it.

"Beautiful name, fit for a beautiful woman." I could tell he was a charmer from our first interaction but I'm really feeling it first hand now.
"Thank you." I said as he let go of my hand. Now I'm cold. Am I going insane?

"You never told me your name either." I told him .
"You never asked." He repeated the same words I told him. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Don't use my words against me." I told him with a light laugh.
He smiled.
"Kostas." He told me. Kostas Artino. Is it possible for a name to sound powerful?

We begin talking about each other and our upcoming date. We sat and talked for a few minutes before I looked over to see Aria cozied up and talking with the other man we saw with Kostas.

"Are you two related." I said nodding towards the man. He looked at them and then back to me.
"Yes that's my younger brother, this is actually his club." He told me. I'm guessing his whole family is rich.
"You two look a lot alike." I told him and it's true. They wear their hair the same and everything. The thing that makes them polar opposites is the lack of tattoos on his brother.

"Yeah we get that a lot." He said.

I look down at his ink covered hand. "How many tattoos do you have?" I asked him. He ran a hand through his hair making a few strands stick out of his bun. "I lost count." he said.
"Do they have meaning or you just get them for fun?" I asked. I don't know why I'm so interested in his tattoos, maybe it's because I want one someday. I just never got around to getting one. I wanted something simple that's probably been done a million times already.
"Both, it just depends on how I'm feeling." He said and I nodded.

"Hey are you ready?" Aria came over with his brother trailing behind her like a lost puppy.
I glanced at Kostas before looking back at her nodding.
I reach for my clutch and before I could fully get up, he grabbed my hand. I turned to look at him.

"Let me get your number so I can text you the details of our date tomorrow." He said. Pulling out his phone. Tomorrow?
"Um, okay." I said, then I put my number in his phone. Man he wastes no time.
"I don't think I've introduced myself, I'm Hector, Kostas's brother." The man said with his hand out. I politely shake his hand and give him my name.

We said our goodbyes and before I could fully walk away, Kostas grabbed my hand and pulled me into a hug. This man is buff, but the hug felt great. "I look forward to our date." He said bending over near my ear. I suppressed a shiver and pulled back. I gave him a smile and me and Aria were on our way out of the lounge.

"That was fun!" Aria yelled over the music as we navigated our way to the exit. I nodded in agreement. It really was and I'm actually glad I got to see Kostas again.

We walk outside and see Louis pull up to the door. He gets out of the SUV and opens the back door for us. We thanked him and got in. I checked the time to see it was almost half past 9.
All that dancing tired me out but I'm not necessarily sleepy, just exhausted and hungry.
"Can we get something to eat?" I asked Aria.
"Yeah I'm hungry too, Louis can you stop at The Capital Grille?" He nods and begin driving to the restaurant. It was only about 10 minutes away from our apartment.

During the car ride, I got to reflect on today and what's to come tomorrow.

Let's hope this goes well. I've never been on a date like this.
