"What do you mean we're too weak?!" The young human female raises her voice over the crowd of human females that surround the front gate of the military training grounds.

"Did I stutter," commanded the large imposing rust brown Alanno female in brown camo jumpsuit, her muscular arms crossing under her large bust, "you all failed the physicals and are not allowed to join the army!"

"I was able to join before this military merge, what changed?" Called out another woman from the middle of the crowd.

"I can't believe I have to spell this out. To make it all fair between our two species' military joint efforts we had to tweak the minimum physical baseline. If you're unable to meet the new requirements then the military can not allow you to join." The Alanno woman stated.

"But the new baseline is too high for a human woman, even after training" called out another woman, this time from the front.

"I'm sorry but that's not my problem. If you want to file an official complaint go to the recruitment agency," the tall Alanno commanded, not moving from her spot.

The group of human females grumbled before stumping away from the guard post. Just as they dissipated, a young human man carrying a large beige duffle bag and military attire walked up to the gated entrance.

"Paperwork," commanded the Alanno guard, looking down at the human.

Going into his duffle bag the young man took out a thin tablet and presented it to the large Alanno. Taking it into her hands she quickly scanned it over before returning it to him.

"Everything looks in order. Enter and then go to the building to your right. There you will be assigned to your sleeping quarters," she said gesturing to a large brown building down the dirt road.

He thanked, lifting his duffle bag higher up his back. Taking out a pad, the large Alanno pressed a couple of buttons. The energy field that surrounded the entrance buzzed down allowing him to pass.

The walk to the building was an intriguing one to say the least. On occasion groups of training space marines jogged past me. The weird thing was that they only consist of human men and Alanno women.

The office line was long, filled with new recruits, and consisted of the same human/alanno mix. I was a bit distracted by all of the large Alanno as I waited in line. They were all tall and fit, and well endowed. Soon I reached the front desk.

"Name?" Asked the older man while he was writing down something.

"Malcom Turnhood," I replied.

"Cabin number 47. Scan your government-issued device at the terminal for direction and your schedule," he said flatly, pointing to the gray old machine at the corner of the room. He then handed me a hefty handheld device resembling a 2045 phone. Taking the device I walked over to the machine.

As I walked across the room I could see a couple of Alanno eyeballing me, checking me out. This was a odd experience for me because I never considered myself good looking. I come from an all human town from the prairie. There I'm considered quite plain to the girls. Always turning me down for the more handsome and rich guys.

It was a quick scan and I was out looking for my cabin. It was a long trek as it was far away from most facilities. For me it was nice, I was never good in crowds and it reminded me of home. Eventually I found the cabin. It was out in the middle of nowhere and had this simplistic look to it, something more rustic and definitely less modern looking.
Looking over the building once more I scanned my device over the lock, the door swooshed open and I entered the building.
