You know, it’s funny. I grew up reading about this, and watched countless movies about it. But I never thought it could happen. Never in a million years. I can't help but think that this is all a dream, but every morning when I wake up, I am faced with the same scary reality that this is the world I live in. You can't go outside at night, or you'll be turned into one of Them. The killers. The ones that made us board up our windows so they can't break in and kill us while we are trying to sleep. I don't think any of us have actually slept in a while. The blood curdling screams every night are enough to keep anyone awake. Including me, Easton Whither, the headguard of The Resistance. I have seen some pretty bad things happen over the past few years. I saw my parents get shot dead. I watched as the world I knew, turned into something that you would only see in nightmares. And this all started, on what seemed like, a completely normal night.
