I immediately followed the first family upon hearing the news about them going to Japan. Nice, magbabakasyon sila. Is this the right time to plot for a revenge?

Tinitingnan ko lang sila mula dito sa baba. Ang kakapal ng mukha. Lalo na yang Marcos na yan. Wala silang karapatang maging masaya! After what happened to Gio, wala nakong ibang inisip kundi ang maghiganti.

Pero inalis ko muna sa isip ko ang galit. Hindi maganda kung paiiralin ko ang galit. Hindi ako makakapag isip ng magandang plano.

Maya maya, nakita ko silang pumasok na sa kwarto nila. Mga bobo. Tingin nyo, pagkatapos nyong maikasal at magkaron ng anak, magiging masaya na kayo? No. I wont let that happen. Hindi pwedeng mapunta sa wala ang lahat ng sacrifices ni Gio.

I smiled painfully upon remembering my cousin. He was like a brother to me. Naiinis pa nga ako kasi lahat ng ginawa nya, dedicated kay Jade. Walang itinira para sa sarili.

I know Jade ever since she was a kid. Mas matanda ako sa kanila ni Gio. She might not remember me anymore. Bata pa sya nung umalis ako sa Pinas.

Nagmigrate kami ng family ko sa US. Nagkaroon ng mga negosyo kaya naging matunog ang pangalan namin doon. Ilang beses ko na ding na meet yang lecheng Marcos na yan.

Pero nagtimpi ako, kelangan maibalik ko nang doble ang ginawa nila kay Gio. My aunt and my uncle were really devastated when Gio died. They hated Jade and that Marcos for what happened. Gio's too young to die.

Flashback

I paid a visit to my cousin Gio who lives in Canada. I took a week off so that I can bond with my relatives here in Canada.

Gio's handling his own small business. Lagi nyang bukambibig sa akin na kelangan nyang maging successful one day so that he can provide for Jade. Natuwa ako kasi may motivation sya para maging successful someday. I liked Jade since then. Pakiramdam ko, sasaya ng husto tong pinsan ko pag nakuha nya itong si Jade.

I entered his small office and Ive seen him scanning some documents. He didnt notice me so I coughed. He looked at me and hugged me.

'kuya, its been months! What brings you here?' he said

'nothin bro. I just missed you and your parents. Let's go somewhere?' I asked him

'sorry kuya. Not now. May clients akong kelangan i-meet. I need to focus on this one. I think, this client of mine will help me boost my company. Some other time, maybe?'

'okay kiddo. If you say so. Ill just stay here muna. You need some help?'

'Im fine kuya'

He sat down on his desk and took out a photo. Picture ni Jade. I smiled. He's really in love with his bestfriend.

'someday, when we meet, you'll be proud of me. And when that day comes, I will marry you right away. Time to fulfill our promises, Jade. Hintayin mo lang akong maging successful para mabigyan kita ng magandang buhay'

I smiled and stood up. Ginulo ko ang buhok nya. Patay na patay talaga to sa kababata nya.

'you really love her, do you? Magiging masaya ako kapag kayo ang nagkatuluyan. How is she na pala?' I asked him

'well, based on the reports that Im receiving from my detective, she's good. She's studying daw eh.'

I nodded my head as a response. I support my cousin, that's why Im just letting him do what he wants to do.
