- Alright guys, for once, this is merely platonic!!! And I'm going through a flower kick, so expect more short little drabbles like this. and a new writing style arc omg, anyways yeah let's start. -

Hyacinth: The purple hyacinth is a popular symbol of sorrow and regret. Sometimes, looking back on the past, that's what Kakashi feels. He knows he can't change what happened, after all; nothing happens without a reason. In some sick, twisted way; it was God's plan for this to happen. (He thought it was rather unfair that a God planned to make him suffer and traumatized.)

In recent times, there was someone who moved next door to his apartment block. They would often have late-night conversations on their balconies, (Y/n) would often strike up an awkward conversation. But since Kakashi didn't get outside much (unless needed), he enjoyed the conversations with them.

One night, however, the (h/c)-nette must've mentioned something that made him talk a little too far into his past. After he finished talking, they looked concerned and then excused themselves to go to bed. The Sharingan user regretted what he said, big time.

In the morning, however. He received a small package, he was confused. He didn't order anything, so why the package? It was addressed to him, and everything. Maybe it was a drunken purchase that arrived late? "Whatever." He'd internally scoffed, picking up the package and placing it on his table after shutting the door. Inside, there were a few things in it. A small arrangement of flowers. Including flowers such as a white lily, and a crimson rose. There was also a note, a  rather lengthy one.

"Odd." He thought to himself. Yeah, because getting a package that you don't remember, and it is not a drunken purchase, is certainly a little odd. But he picked up the note, and read it aloud.

"Kakashi,

My deepest apologies for not sticking around after you told me what happened. I didn't know what to say. Whether to apologize, or not. I made this for you, I apologize once again, that I couldn't bring it to you in person. That would've been awkward, both for you and I.

Anyways, these flowers are my way of giving you my condolences, it'd be easier to tell you that, but something tells me that this would reassure you more. I suppose you got told that a lot when you were younger, so now those words are just empty to you.

Well, Kakashi, I suppose I'll leave it off here. I'll see you tonight, for our nightly conversation. Right?

For now,

(Y/N)."

For a silent moment, he stood. Honestly, they were right, this is seriously extra for a stranger. But he can't be mad, at least they were thinking of him.

He grabbed an old cup (He didn't have any vases, so an old cup would suffice.), poured water from the tap, and then places it by the window with the flowers in it. It truly was rather pretty, maybe he'll have to chat with a florist to make those flowers last for just a bit longer.

- 523 words. I made this in one night, so true :muscle_emoji: this may sound silly but I'm proud of myself, I made this and I do like it. So yeah. -
