Chapter 13: A Deadly Obssession

Cheska's POV

Tinitingnan ako ng bata eye to eye. This is a dead-or-alive situation. Pag Mali ang sagot ko tiyak na last breath ko na to.

Hindi maari. Bawal pa akong mamatay. Dahil...

Hindi pa ako naka kiss sa knight in the shining armor ko! I can't die na virgin pa ang lips ko. Never!

I must find a way to get out of this situation.

"Omg! Mapula ang mga mata mo! May sore eyes ka yata?", sabi ko sa bata sabay ngiti.

"You're trembling"

Nagulat ako. Ngayun ko lang napansin. My hands were trembling tremendously.

"Hehe.... e kasi ano yun.... parang.... sakit..... yung parang ano ...... ah tama may epilepsy ako... Hehe"

Puno na ng pawis ang mukha ko. Di ko alam kung effective ba ito.

He look at me with full curiosity. "You're not afraid of me ate?"

I cleared my throat. Sino ba naman ang di matatakot na anytime pwede niyang kagatin ang leeg ko. Maygaaaad di pa ako naka fully recover sa umubos ng dugo ko.

I smiled at him. "Of course not! I think vampires are cute!"

Nagulat ako sa ginawa niya. He hugged me tight. Tears running from his cheeks.

"No vampires wanted me as their friend, can you be my friend? I wanna be friends with a hooman", he said as he continues to cry.

"Wuut?", Sagot niya habang nagpuppy eyes.

"Turuan moko kung paano patayin ang mga bampira"

The elevator door slowly opens. Nakarating na kami sa pinakataas na floor. Lumakad kami ng ilang steps pataas sa spiral stairs at may bumulantad na pinto sa amin. May nakasulat sa pinto na isang warning sign.

He smiled at me. "Any books related to vampires, our history, our body systems, and our weaknesses can be found there ate. I'll entertain every question you have in mind"

This kid. He could really crossed the line just to be friends with me. Pagagalitan talaga ito ng parent niyang librarian. "Nasan nga pala ang parent mo?", I curiously asked.

"Don't worry about my mom. I'll take the blame if things got worse. Because you are my friend!", He said then smiled innocently. Ang cute niya. Kung di lang siya vampire pinisil ko na ang cheeks neto.

Pero walang doorknob ang pinto. It must have some kind of security lock just like sa card na ginagamit namin sa room sa dormitory namin.

Itinaas ng bata ang kaniyang right thumb at ipinisil ito sa door.

"Thumbprint Successful"

Nagulat ako sa nagsalita out of nowhere. Parang boses na katulad ng Siri. Di ko akalaing ganito na ka advance ang teknolohiya ng mga vampires. It means na some of the vampires were freaking smart or sobrang yaman. Or maybe both, to have this kind of university.
