"Ah what is this?" I frowned as I tried to find the mistake in the drawing that lay in front of me. My friends were pictured on the paper in front of me. I spent the last two hours on this piece but I was far away from being satisfied. Something still bothered me. But my phone caught my attention as soon as a name appeared on the display. I started smiling and accepted the call.
"Hey, how are you? Why are you calling?" I wasn't sure if I should be worried or proud of my friend. Chaewon was my best friend. We had known each other since primary school. She only calls me when something happens usually since it was very uncomfortable for her. Chaewon had social anxiety and struggled a lot sometimes. The only thing I could do is offer my help or just be there for her. But she was one of the strongest people I had ever met.
"I'm okay. I wanted to ask if you're walking past a grocery store on your way back home. I need some things but I'm too lazy to go." I chuckled.
"Yes sure, send me what you need and I'll bring it with me on my way home." She wasn't just my friend, we also lived together for four years now.
"Thanks, you're the best" I put my phone back into my pocket and stood up from the bench I sat on for the past few hours. I was still looking at the drawing when I suddenly tripped over my own foot. Without time to keep myself from falling I landed on the ground, my sketchbook flew a few centimetres away from me. "Oh god this is embarrassing, I hope no one saw this," I muttered to myself.
"Are you okay?" Never mind. I groaned silently as I heard the voice of a man. I'm not sure but something about his voice sounded familiar to me.
"Yes, everything is fine," I said and sat up now looking into the face of the person that was leaning down to me and handing me my sketchbook.
"Wow this looks really go-" he stopped in the middle of the sentence when our eyes met.
>flashback 7 years ago<
"Y/n! Hurry up!" I ran downstairs where Chaewon was already waiting for me. She wore a casual blue pair of jeans and a black oversized t-shirt. Her hair was tied up. Since we both had the same style I wore almost the exact same combination of clothes."We can go now," I said and smiled widely at her. We wanted to go to a new café that opened a few weeks ago. Because of school we didn't have the time to go there before but some days ago we had our last school day for this school year. When we left the house the sun instantly shone down on us.
The café was only three streets away so it didn't take us long to arrive. Much to our surprise, there weren't many people. Just some other students sat at the tables together with their friends. Chaewon chose a table at one of the windows. I followed her slowly, being distracted by the beautiful interior.
The time went by quickly. The café was full by now and I looked at the empty sundae in front of me and stood up. Chaewon glanced at me. She scrolled through her phone for the last ten minutes.
"I need to go to the toilet." She nodded. Okay, uhm where are the toilets? I looked around and eventually found them. On the way back to our table I bumped into someone. I almost fell but a hand on my waist held me.
"Sorry" I mumbled a bit shyly. The person who held me was a boy. I guess he was about my age, maybe one or two years older. His hair was black and he looked as if he was going to the gym pretty often.
"No, don't apologize it was my fault I didn't look where I was going" he smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back. "I'm Changbin by the way"
"Nice to meet you Changbin. I'm Y/n" Do you know these moments when you meet someone new and know that this person is someone special? This was definitely one of these. We talked for a few more minutes before I heard Chaewon shouting.
"Y/n, we have to go now" I nodded in her direction and looked back to Changbin. One strand of his black hair hung in his face. I had to overcome the urge to stroke it away. Why did I feel like this? "Y/n!" My friend shouted again.
"I guess I have to go now. I hope we meet again" I smiled and waved at him as I left.
>end of flashback<
"Y/n?" I looked at the man in front of me. He wore a black hat and a black mask. His eyes were the only part of his face which weren't covered. His eyes. Suddenly I remembered why his voice was so familiar to me. No, this could not be possible, right?"Changbin?" After we met for the first time, we became something like friends but only half a year later we lost contact.
"Oh my god, it's really you" he reached out a hand for me and helped me to stand up. I couldn't say anything. I was speechless. "How have you been? I would have never thought that I would see you again"
"Yeah, same. Wow, I can't believe it" I couldn't hold back a smile. I really missed him. "The café is still there, you know. Do you want to go there?" He looked down at his feet.
"Sorry, I can't. I'm an idol now and I don't think that it's a good idea to go somewhere where the chance is high that many people can recognise me." Wait what? He's an idol? I mean I knew that he was a good singer and rapper but I was still surprised though. "But I know another place where we can go" his eyes met mine and he waited for an answer from me.
"Okay, wherever you want to go" he smiled at me and took my hand.
"Perfect"
>seven years later<
"Changbin we have to talk" he looked at me with worried eyes."Is everything okay?" Tears came up in my eyes and I looked down at the wedding ring on my finger.
"I- yes" he came over to me and held my hand.
"Everything is okay, just tell me" I took a deep breath
"I'm pregnant" Changbin's eyes widened. He hugged me tight and then looked into my eyes.
"For real? We will have a second child?" I nodded. Tears of happiness started rolling down my cheeks.
"I love you so much"
