Chapter 3

"Hrmm."

The Student Council members stared at Sona who made a strange face as she sat in her seat. Tsubaki remained standing next to her with a troubled expression as well.

"I wonder what's going on...?" Momo muttered to herself softly.

The sliding door opened and Akio walked in with his hands behind his head. He stopped just at the entrance when he noticed the strange atmosphere. 

"Yo! Somebody needs to shit?" He grinned slightly and Sona looked at him with a deadpan.

"Well. It looks like everybody is here. Please take a seat." The air suddenly turned serious and everyone did as they told, except for Tsubaki who still stood next to Sona. "It seems like...Some of our clients are getting killed in their homes."

"What? Who would do such a thing?" Tomoe asked with a shocked expression.

"Is it a Stray Devil?" Tsubasa wondered but Sona shook her head.

Just as she was about to say something, Akio spoke first.

"Rogue Priest?"

Sona nodded her head, "Yeah. The clients are nailed to the wall upside down with stakes shoved through their chests."

"Does this have something to do with the Fallen holed up in the abandoned church?" Akio asked and Sona frowned.

"There's fallen here in Kuoh? How do I have no knowledge of this?" She adjusted her glasses with a frustrated gaze. "In any case, we cannot casually go onto Sacred Grounds such as the church. For now, everyone I urge you to be extremely careful when you're out doing packs. If the situation is dangerous, then leave the area immediately and get in touch with either Akio, Tsubaki, or me. Understood?"

"Hai!"

With everyone going off to do their own thing, Akio sat still in his seat deep in thought. The existence known as an Angel enraged him dearly. Whether it be the Angels above or the Angels that fell, he hated them with a passion. After all, when he had gone through torture countless times in his past at the facility, he prayed day after day for someone to come and save them...

...But no one did...

That's when he realized not to count on God or Angels to deliver him from pain...Because no God was selfless.

A finger was then pressed on his frowning forehead and when he looked up, he saw Tsubaki giving him a soft look.

"You shouldn't make such a serious face like that. It's not like you." 

Akio couldn't help but chuckle with a small smile and said, "How do you know that this is the real me? What if that playboy's face is all an act?"

"Well then...I guess I would still prefer that face to this one." 

Tsubaki then went back to her work, leaving Akio to sit there with an expression of surprise. For as long as he could remember, Tsubaki always told him off for being too playful or mischievous, never taking anything seriously. But once he showed a serious side to him, she said she preferred his playful side. Naturally, it was surprising for him. 

"Akio, can you and Ruruko take these files and printouts to the Teachers' room? I would do it myself but I need to consult the Arch Duke and what they plan to do with the fallen here in Kuoh."

"Alright. I needed some fresh air anyway. Let's go, Ruruko."

Akio picked up the taller stack of files while Ruruko picked up the smaller stack.

"Okay, Boss!" She said enthusiastically, causing Akio to roll his eyes with a small smile.

"I'm not your boss. Ojou-sama over there is."

With Ruruko following next to him, the two Pawns of the Sitri peerage began to make their way down the hall and towards the stairs. But before they could turn the corner that led to the stairs, the hallways suddenly began to pack full of students as squeals were heard. Akio and Ruruko were now stuck in the sea of students.

The cause of the noise?

He looked at the stairs to see Rias Gremory along with Himejima Akeno and Yuuto Kiba.

"Oh my gosh, it's Rias-sama! And Kiba-kun and Himejima-sama is with her!"

"Kyaaa!"

"Rias-sama really gives off a noble vibe!"

"Kiba-kun! Please go out with me!!"

"Himejima-senpai! Please step on me!"

As the crowd began to get louder and louder over Rias, Akeno, and Kiba, Akio's eyes began to twitch in frustration before he took a deep breath.

"Oi! Shut the fuck up and get out of the way!"

The hallways went silent and everyone stared at the annoyed Akio in shock.

"I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear him swearing in the hallways." Sona muttered to herself softly.

"Some of us have work to do besides gawk around unlike the rest of you! It's recess now so why the hell are all of you in the damn hallway! Go outside and enjoy the damn fresh air!" Looking around him, all the students began to part and made a way for him and Ruruko. "Tch. Let's go, Ruruko."

Ruruko couldn't help but squeal softly as she followed Akio.

"So cool. As expected of the Boss."

Akio walked past Rias and couldn't help but sneer softly at her while Akeno licked her lips.

"Ara Ara. To shut everyone up like that, he must be a very dominant person." Akeno couldn't help but shudder to herself as her masochist side appeared.

Rias shook her with a small laugh and began to make her way to her class along with Kiba and Akeno.

"What do you think of Sona's pawn, Yuuto?" Rias asked as she sat down at her desk.

Kiba hummed softly and looked to the ground. There was no doubt that Akio flared his power to silence the crowd of students who went gaga in the hallway but he covered up that fact by speaking in a vulgar way. But there was something else...

"He is...unapproachable."

"Oh? In what sense?" She couldn't help but smile a bit.

"As a person, he has a terrible personality and is unapproachable. I do not care about the rumors about him, but there is no doubt that the delinquent side of him is just an act. In truth, his guard was up and I couldn't see any openings in his form despite him holding that stack of files."

"So you noticed that too, huh?" Akeno too saw no openings. "Makes me curious as to what his life was."

"One thing is for sure." Rias interlocked her fingers and leaned her chin on them with fire in her eyes. "He is no doubt Sona's strongest piece. From what I sensed, he must have a Dragon-type Sacred Gear in him...Speaking of pieces. Kiba, please show our new member to the Club room after class."

"As you wish, Buchou." Kiba bowed his head with his hand on his heart before taking his leave.

Meanwhile downstairs, Akio and Ruruko had placed the files on one of the teachers' desks and began to make their way out. The delinquent placed his hands in his pockets and slouched a bit with a small scowl on his face.

"Neh, Ruruko. Wanna get some lunch? Kinda starving, not gonna lie."

"Sure. I wouldn't mind some if you're buying that is." Ruruko grinned mischievously hoping that he would be buying...since she currently had no money.

Akio shrugged his shoulders and began to walk toward the cafeteria. 

"Alright. I don't mind."

Ruruko stood still and watched his back with a shocked expression.

"The boss really is the best."

"I'm not your boss and hurry up already."

A/n: Right. Next chapter there's gonna be some relationship development between the Mc and some of the females. After that, we gonna go straight to the action. Hopefully, this story won't be long because I think I'm gonna end it just after the Rating between Rias and Sona.
